also, not a single mention of dark souls 2...!

while you guys continue to disregard and/or dislike these games i feel i will have to continue to regard your podcast as highly entertaining but ultimately irrelevant!!

oh no!!!

edit: i do appreciate your enthusiasm for 1001 spikes, ys, and super mario 3D world, though

me and frank were just talking the other day about doing a best NES games or best SNES games podcast -- seeing as frank didn't know too much about a lot of the games in the genesis podcast. so a SNES / NES podcast could be goooooooooood

also genre-specific ones! i'd like to get christian nutt in on a Best JRPGs Ever podcast, because why the heck not???

Oh man, best JRPG's would be loads of fun.

Might be better to do before you do the SNES, though, so that it doesn't end up redundant....

Yeah, Jaffe: one of my feeds seems to work, but when I'm at work I have to use castroller whatever to get a hold of it. If IC is malware land I think you should just make a stopgap tumblr or something. It's pretty hard to get the podcast, let alone stumble upon it.

Well. I mean. They just talk about games they like and play.

Though I guess I do get annoyed whenever they dismiss masocore games offhand.

I love the FF13-vs / 15 elevator analogies. Especially when you consider that the door-close buttons in elevators typically do nothing.

Also hooray for IC being back up.

Do a best Amiga games podcast.

Seriously though, I'm sure a best PC games podcast from you guys would be hilarious.

best amiga is way more interesting to me than best snes because i know so little about it, and i'm sure i'm not alone in that.

i think going the route of what the audience says it wants isn't a thing you would do well to always gravitate towards.

The thing is, the icpodcast panelists expertise lies mostly in japanese console games (see: BGOAT episode). Even when a game is mentioned and, say, Frank doesn't know about it or has played it, his participation is minimal. I imagine if Gorblax were to list a few Amiga games for comment, we would just get silence or linguistic jokes.

Basically, I agree that an Amiga podcast would be very interesting but my suggestion was a joke because I don't think the IC Podcast can make an Amiga episode.

Maybe do a SB podcast on the Amiga, or a general 'other PCs' one.

I've been listening to all of these recently from the most recent backwards and it's become a lot better since the beginning. I miss having a winner at the end of an episode that would then make up something at the top of the hour of the new ep.

Also I was having a good old lol at Tim's Iwata impersonation in the latest improv segment.

Unrelated to that, I just listened to ep 23 and I want to punch Gorblax for being so irritating in this episode. He just kept cutting everyone off and interrupting with really dumb comments, which I'm assuming was from technical problems/lagging behind and being hyper at livestreaming for the first time(?). Since then, he's interrupted a lot less and chilled out which is for the better though.

for a long time i thought of 1998 as the best year in videogames but i haven't thought about that in a while.

i feel like things are pretty dang rad right now, so...

Been slowly catching up. What's the ICP-endorsed way to listen to podcasts on an Android phone? Mostly just want a player that can pick up from where I left off and skip backwards and forwards in fixed steps.

Help me think of SNES games to recommend for the best SNES games cast.

I can't think of stuff besides things that have been ported a billion times and everyone's played to death.

here's snes i like that are hardly ever mentioned anywhere and collectors / used shops price did not gouge me for because they do not have "mario" or "super" in their title.

Twisted Tales of Spike McFang
Secret of Evermore
Demon's Crest
Ignition Factor
Time Slip
Gemfire
Dino City
Spanky's Quest

i feel like the obvious things people will mention are earthbound, chrono trigger, ff6, yoshi's island, alttp, super metroid, maybe smw, contra 3, castlevania 4,

somewhat less obvious games i'd consider nominating: shiren, demon's crest, assault suits valken, metal warriors, front mission, gun hazard, terranigma, majyuuou, smt 2, smt: if..., shadowrun, ogre battle, umihara kawase, nosferatu, act raiser, live a live, secret of evermore, lufia 2

note that i am not actually nominating here, just listing some games for people to think about don't have a cow gorblax
