Waverace on the Gamecube is every bit as good as the N64 version...just different.

Neither 1080 is particularly good, but the Gamecube installment has a lot wildlife, which I appreciate.

It's true that something about the game feels a bit more rigid.

That said, it still feels right, and there is something very appealing to me about the banal aesthetics Nintendo favored in its first-generation Gamecube games. Everything is rounded, makes rounded sounds, and is pleasantly colorful.

The game also contains a nice amount of wildlife though not quite so much as 1080. It is a nicely relaxing experience, in a medium which I find generally stressful...and I payed $5 for it.

Spielberg is decidedly lowbrow...that may still put him above anyone working in videogames.

outrun is about PRETTINESS and nice music but it is most certainly a videogame based on a pressing challenge

also since I'm reasonably sure the arcade content is detached from the unlockables by way of a menu selection this is all moot

It needlessly clutters what is otherwise a nice, neat package.

The PS2 version of Outrun 2006 looks great through composite, and completely terrible through component.

I agree that it is better to have a good control setup than a poor one. That said, it is pathetic that sega couldn't work out a more elegant solution.

Granted there probably wasn't much localization to be done, but have any changes been made to menus and such?

man it would be nice though. I mean, ya know!? even if it was front mission 3 /brigandine style where it was simple 2d for unit placement, but once an attack starts it switch's to glorious graphics.

I'm pretty sure given the will, the wii is entirely capable of this.

Looks kind of conservative and boring. I was hoping it would be a bit fresher...maybe it will get there.

That seems a bit disappointing. I wasn't planning on picking this up because I've already finished the PS2 version, but for people that want to play it that sucks.

I disagree, Okami never resembled watercolor, and the texture overlay looked mediocre at best. Brighter colors may be some sort of a concession, but seems both good and bad.

This will be the better version of the game, but I still won't play it.

To a certain extent I believe in artistic integrity, and Rockband is corporate horse shit.

It's not that I'm angry that they are "selling out", I just find Rockband incredibly lame.

Also, that Mortal Kombat game looks and sounds terrible.

The second screen from the top almost looks like something from the Shadow and the Flame which is kind of exciting. It's nice that they are doing something different, at least aesthetically with the series, but character design looks more than a little overwrought, and that quote about bosses annoys me for some reason.

I'm definitely tentatively excited, but it's ubisoft, so I figure it's best to keep expectations low.

CG proof of concept bullshit that Ubisoft was never good at. I don't know why they keep wasting money on them, the initial leak of screens generated more hype on their own. The latest screens and actual artwork for the game look nice, by the way.

The artwork, is fine, though overwrought, it's more the sidekick thing :/
