The video sadly cuts off from most of the gameplay demoed. There are photos from the presentation (such as the ability to drive vehicles), that have surfaced. Hopefully we'll see the rest.

The game appears to be a Peace Walker sequel.

I'm so hype. (even if that video was just like a movie or whatever...)

Beyond the face value of it being open world - there's the implication that Kojima is using the Peace Walker games as an opportunity to be more experimental with MGS - which bodes well IMO.

I'm somewhat leery about this being pitched as an open world game, since that genre tends to be the opposite of everything good about metal gear.(tightly designed set-pieces and bosses)

I'm excited to be really awful at this game and get alerted a lot but find weird loopholes that'll allow me to avoid any form of confrontation such as scaling an entire mountain and going completely around the area, if that's available.

Wow I sure hope this whole game isn't based around Chico and Paz. They're not very good characters, I think I got my fill of them in Peace Walker.

I'm hoping that by "open world" they just mean Metal Gear but with more space (and therefore choices), which actually is what I was hoping the "REAL BATTLEFIELD" antics of MGS4 were going to be.
Prudence tells me to be only cautiously optimistic but I'm frothing pretty good despite myself. What can I say, I think this looks more in the style of MGS3 than 4, which is good.
I kind of wish the Project FOX game didn't wind up being a Metal Gear but oh well, I guess Kojima is doomed to MG forever and I guess I can live with that.

I think this game looks rad. Cautiously hyped over here. That Morricone track was an excellent touch.

I love Peace Walker, but I still have to beat it. :/

Didn't Kojima float around the idea of a game based around The Boss years ago? I remember him talking about having it set during WWII.
