naw not at all, they had designed extremely fun and creative new levels on Super Mario Advance 4 (e-reader levels), it's just that New Super Mario Bros. was in fact designed to be sort of "simple", which makes it super boring to play compared to the other 2D mario games entries, the level design is hugely inspired by the first SMB game (maybe because they were already planning sequels to NSMB?) |
