I can get behind the sentiments expressed in this post.
I got a Vita because Gravity Rush looked just so damned intriguing. It's an absolute joy to move around, either by sliding or falling through the air. However, when it needs to be about something other than the joy of movement, it shows that Japan Studio lost sight of whatever they were trying to achieve. The combat tries to be interesting, but the enemies aren't up to even the limited moveset you have. It's especially telling that they have to remove the gravity powers to try to provide some interesting level design.
It should have been better, but if they ever come around to doing a sequel, I'll gladly buy it. _________________

The stuff where Kat is all "omg they love me <3" didn't feel horrible to me, because pretty much the first thing that happens when she wakes up is crazy-ass shit and she gets blamed for it because people are stupid and a large chunk of of the first half of the story is her doing stuff because she wants to be liked. It felt in line with her motivations, which is why some of the stuff that happens during the second half is so alienating (to her, not to the player. They alienate the player by not finishing the story that's now how you end a game Sony). _________________
