I think they could of saved themselves a lot of trouble if they just made their own protagonist, instead of a guy named garrett who doesn't look or act like garrett and sounds like every other Joe Uncharted or Joe Bioshock dude out there. And all the time saved not making videos promising to be true to the spirit of the series and the character could of been spent on coming up with their own thing instead of some halfassed compromised reboot/imitation thing that just makes nobody happy. The old games made it as easy as possible for them, they finished garrett's story and introduced a possible new protagonist.

They released new patches that fix any problems you should have a while back. For thief 1 you want Tfix. For Thief 2 you want patch 1.19. Or just torrent the gog version which should include all of that.

The level design actually looks pretty good too, at least from what I can tell. Why is it all so grey though.

Looks like a game that 50% gets it and 50% is ruined by Assassin's Creed bullshit.

Downloaded the thief trilogy in honor of its memory.

It does at least actually look like Thief in that video, graphically. The first couple screenshots they put out looked pretty dishonored-y. And I watched half of another trailer on mute and it looks like they do actually have Garrett's female apprentice from the end of the last one worked into the story. I might still secretly let myself get excited for this depending on how much of the ubisoftianisms you can turn off.
