By chance would anyone here be interested in a pretty fantastic Neo Geo AES collection with 39 games? The pride of my gaming collection, but I might be moving to Europe from the US for work and just can't bring it with me, and I'm not too keen on storing. If I don't move I'd keep the stuff.
Given the value of this stuff on the Neo collector's market, this isn't going to be a cheap lot. But if a SB person is interested I'd give you a good deal and throw in as much free stuff (hardware and accessories) as I could rationalize. May even be able to hand-deliver it for free if you're in the western half of the US (or Vancouver BC area), planning a road trip soon anyway.
Games include entire AES series of: King of Fighters ('94-2003), Samurai Shodown (1-5 and 5 Special US version), Fatal Fury (FF1-3 & Special, RB/RBS/RB2, Garou), Last Blade (LB1&2), and Art of Fighting (AoF1-3). Also SVC Chaos, Rage of the Dragons, Matrimelee, Double Dragon, World Heroes Perfect, Kabuki Klash, Fighters History Dynamite, Crossed Swords, Eightman, Cyberlip.
Games are all Japan versions, except Samurai Shodown V Special (USA SNK "fixed" version). All have cases, all but Garou have instructions. Condition ranges from very good to near mint, except that a few of the older games in old style cases have more significant wear (kinda par for the course for old Neo cases though).
Hardware includes modded (s-video, component, stereo) AES console, and could even throw in a spare console. Various controllers: really nice wood stick with full Sanwa parts (from Analogue Interactive, an OG style arcade stick, SNK "pro" style stick controller, NGCD pad. SNK memory card. |

| Jesus fuck, firenze. What are you looking to get for the entire thing? It's almost morbid curiosity rather than interest; I don't think I can afford that beautiful collection (as much as I'd want it). |
Well, the neo-geo.com price guides place the games at a range of about $4900 to $6300. Those haven't been updated in a while though and some of the more desirable games have probably increased in value if you're talking price you can realistically expect to pay if you find them for sale today.
But yeah, if someone was insane enough to want to grab the whole lot I'd probably look toward the low end of that value and basically throw the hardware in as a bonus, just for the ease of doing it all in one shot. Otherwise I guess I'd break up some of the most valuable games to sell individually, sell others in lots if possible or put em up on ebay.
The big guns are:
SSV Special US (easily $500+ these days)
Rage of the Dragons (ng.com guides say $300ish but I think that's way out of date, realistically this is a much more rare game and if it ever sells today it's probably more like $600+)
KOF 2003 and Garou ($300+ each, though my Garou is without instructions cause I bought a cheaper copy to actually play. Once upon a time when Garou was new I bought a cart for like $550, played the shit out of it for about 6 months, then sold it for a $75 profit when I had to pay tuition for school.) |
