I'm quite fine with PS4. Their reveal made a serious effort to focus on games, they seem to have learned from their PS3 mistakes with the system being easy to develop for, have a pretty open attitude toward developers. I'm gonna need some way to play the console only stuff that will come out (say, the new Guilty Gear). |
Yeah, basically. |

| So I guess it's confirmed now no backwards compatibility and used games cost a fee to authenticate on your system |

That's good to hear.
I actually use my 360 as a netflix/hbo/youtube machine as much or more than I use it for games, so I don't mind the 'entertainment machine' idea.
I'll wait and see what games are actually coming out and once things get past rumors to decide which console to get, but I'll be getting one of them eventually for sure. |

I accept Steam's DRM because of the convenience I get for it.
Anytime I do a clean OS install or use another computer, all I have to do is download steam for all my games and (some) saves.
I don't personally see what benefit I'd be getting out of it on a console. |

Still going to keep my TE around since I'll still have my 360 and it works on PC.
Holding out hope my Qanba will work, since it's already non-official pre-modded whatever.
Really didn't expect any of them to work past this generation though. |
