Xbox One can't use 360 controllers. Why the heck not?
The wired 360 controller is a usb controller with a near identical design and the same number of buttons.
Oh Microsoft. _________________

RobotRocker,
Marketing data can be collected with software. They don't need people to comb through anything.
I can't be the only one who gets delightfully well targeted ads from Google. Google knows what I do for a living, they know what countries I've lived in, they know my favorite hobby, what university I went to, my education level, and what countries I'm interested in going to.
This is all apparent from the ads I get.
They probably know a good deal more.
The idea that there's actual people watching is anachronistic.
I don't see why Microsoft wouldn't be interested in utilizing or selling marketing data.
010101001 Xbox 8339 detects children aged 3-5: deliver ads targeting parents of children aged 3-5. 0101010
I wouldn't particularly care either way, but it's not a completely invalid point. London isn't for everyone either. Of course most of the people in 1984 were fine with things too,
Spoiler: including the narrator eventually. _________________

"Why this ad?
This ad is based on emails from your mailbox. Ads Settings puts you in control of the ads you see."
edit: Oh cool. You can see a bunch of stuff about yourself in your ads settings. _________________

Say, isn't this generation kind of missing a sales pitch?
Current gen was 'THE FUTURE IS HD!!!'
What is this upcoming generation supposedly changing (for the better)? _________________

we're very quickly moving toward a world (some would argue we're already there) where there is a second-tier ghetto of consumer electronics largely subsidised by a barrage of advertising & corporations trading/leasing personal info gathered by increasingly sophisticated surveillance

Oh man there's a new dystopia nightmare fuel press demo of the new Kinect.
Apart from the super glitchy skeleton, which looks like it slipped out of a whole different sort of nightmare.
It can monitor your heart rate and blood pressure by looking at your face with either it's RGB or IR feeds.
Yeah, it's got an IR feed, the dark won't hide you.
It monitors which body parts are exerting force at any given time. _________________
