I honestly think the sequel is better but that could just be me responding to all the extra locations and species and items

They should both be played anyway, in French with English subs if you're feeling especially hungry for that Euro feel

Couple things unmentioned: Really wonderful soundtrack (rare excellent use of synth-horns), and the actual pacing of events is nigh perfect, I can't think of a single section that dragged or felt redundant

At the time I also recall being legit terrified of certain enemies like the higher tier robot animals and those skeletons in the Temple of Bu; Twinsen's lack of mobility had much to do with this
