I never heard of it actually. Seems like it may have been more popular in Europe?
The engine in this game seems the most interesting part of it, with the real-time-rendered 3d gouraud-shaded characters on top of prerendered tiles. That's pretty innovative and unique, but it's too bad the result clashes so much, what with the dithered gradients on the characters and overwhelming fine detail and lack of lighting on the backgrounds. |
