Wpham, how do you wear your skinny jeans? Close/tight/super tight? |
Close. I'm all about comfort and a proper fit, not choking my balls.
I'm also looking for a decent pair of boots. These were recommended to me. Opinions? |
Yeah, those look awful. Get a pair of Fryes engineer boots and be done with it.
My current favorite pair of jeans are Z-Brand, which fit me (very tall, very skinny) better than almost anything, though they're new and I haven't washed them yet. I've had some success with Earl Jeans as well, but that's been really hit or miss depending on style. _________________

Man, one thing I always have trouble with when shopping for jeans is that most jeans these days are designed for skinnier legs, not people with freakishly large 17" calves like me.

my dancer friend Mark actually has a pair of Levi's ("Red" something maybe?) that I really covet, but wouldn't look nearly as good without a totally built lower body like his. They've got a weird irregular seam (it's offset and curved, I think) that looks great. If I think of it I'll ask what they are next time I see him. _________________

Thanks for the tip on the Frye Engineers. They look pretty damn solid. |
They are. I love mine, but one thing to consider is they're pretty serious business, and heavy. I wore them to work one night, and I could really feel the burn after standing for 8 hours straight. I suppose you'd adjust though; one of my girl friends wears hers all the time with no complaints. I may just be a wuss.
EDIT: Yeah Stott, I think that's it. _________________
