The PS4 will cost about $1720 here at launch. The Xbone, assembled in the country instead of being imported, will still cost $945 (with an expected price rise in the following months). How great is that

We have some pretty fucked up taxes and fees (for example, the import fee for video games being 60% while the same fee for computers is around 15%), but this case is mostly Sony bullshitting us. They released some info detailing the costs and their math just doesn't add up. Also Sony Brazil has a history of charging "premium" for their products. I'll post some data when I get home.
Kilroy, I have no idea! But the shipping costs alone would probably be enough disencouragement

I could easily dispute that, but then I remembered emulation exists and... yeah, when emulation is taken into account the PC is obviously the one system you'd want to have. With the original XBox being a distant second place, I guess.

Aren't the PS Vita and the 3DS selling considerably less than what the PSP and the DS sold back in the day?
