given how long ago there were essentially accurate rumors of who the protagonist of DR3 was (a Hispanic mechanic), it's kind of frustrating to hear that it still has tech problems. I guess they must've converted the game from a 360/PS3 product and maybe overshot? Oh, here:

Code:
The game was revealed as originally being developed with high-end PCs in mind so the team could realise their expanded vision for the series, before Microsoft offered to partner with them for it to become an Xbox One launch exclusive.

:\

The original reveal of it looked pretty dumb, but I would think that the main appeal is in having vehicles you can drive through zombie hordes. I realize there's been a billion zombie games released in the past decade, some entirely about driving over zombies, but that still seems fairly novel for an A(A?A?A?A?) game with a theoretically fully-realized world.

Code:
Dead Rising 3 also allows players to create "combo vehicles", such as combining a motorcycle and steamroller to form a "RollerHawg".[11] Each combo vehicle includes two seats and a secondary attack to support cooperative gameplay.[11] According to Capcom Vancouver, driving vehicles will be "a critical part of exploration" as players navigate the city of Los Perdidos.[10]

sounds pretty cool to me.

how long ago was it that some Nintendo dude claimed that their cash reserves would allow them to survive 3-4 failed console launches?

Obviously the situation has changed in a number of ways since then, but I really wish they would take some risks and spend some serious moolah on trying to change their situation with third-parties. Capitalism is fickle, though..
