yeah it is sad that people aren't more hyped about this.
the last proper sandlot EDF gave me way more enjoyment than any of the Souls games. Was more difficult too. |

Yes indeed. Just don't get Insect Armageddon. That game sucked. |

After playing it again in local co-op mode, Insect Armageddon managed to grow on me. Sure it does many things wrong, but it also brought some good new ideas that Sandlot took hints from.
But yeah, you guys and girls will love EDF 2025, it sure is better than 2015 and Insect Armageddon. |
Yeah IA did some stuff OK, but given the option, 2017 was way better. IA just dragged a lot in certain parts. |

| That's true, but to be fair, all entries in the series drag a lot due to repetition. That's kind of the reason I'm a little burned out on the formula by now and more inclined to appreciate Insect Armageddon's deviations, some of which I'd call more than just OK. |
I could see that. What really ruined a lot of IA for me was the structure of missions being much longer, and including things like the unskippable turret sequences. Much of the joy in EDF 2017 for me was in replaying scenarios with "what-if" weapon lineups, and the structure of the missions certainly made that much more of a pain.
That being said, I am happy that 2025 is taking some of the positive parts of IA, definitely. |
