This is great news! I suspect it will take around ten years to begin to see accurate (or maybe playable is a better word) emulation, but it's still great to see in its infancy! _________________

Not disagreeing, but the chance of this happening in any practical sense isn't all that great.
In China the excuse will surely be "360 isn't sold in our country," however. I do remember hearing about them recently unbanning consoles, but what that actually means for their economy I'm not fit to say. _________________

seems real, and it makes me happy that both this and Xenia (early 360 emulator) are on github
it'll be years before it can run demon souls though, and I don't think anyone necessarily has a good idea yet of what kind of speed you can expect running cell/xenon code on x86. |

It doesn't look like this will be really playable anytime soon, much less accessible enough to noticeably affect revenues. By the time it's usable, PS3s probably won't even be online anymore. |

The gameplay bit beginning at 00:14 looks to be a recreation of the first mission of the original game, so looks like a remake. |

| Maybe they are trying to match up the cases for brand recognition on store shelves. All of the blue spines for PS3, PS4, and PSV will make Sony's presence instantly recognizable and visibly larger by just looking into the store. Or that would be the case if this wasn't happening right at the end of the generation. |

are they actually using blue plastic or just changing the black "PS3" logo strip to blue?

The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015. |

oh well. can't really complain, W2 was anecdotally a lot better a little while after its initial release date (I didn't play it until a Steam sale and word of mouth, like most people, but dang was it a pleasant surprise). if they're upping their standards for polish, fine.
I wonder if Massive Chalice will make it out in 2014. I'm not really expecting it to, but Double Fine are still claiming it will...
at this point I'm mostly waiting for Frozen Endzone / Nuclear Throne / Skywind / Mini Metro to leave beta, and for The Witness and Barkley 2 to get firm dates. except I'm not worrying about any of that because I have DkS2 waiting for me tonight. |

But it's news that the news sites aren't good with news like uncharted lady Amy Hennig being pushed out, and places taking the two guys left at Naughty Dog saying it's cool, but not getting a comment from her. TOP NOTCH JOURNALISM! Guess it's been like that since... ever though. _________________ Steam: Godamn_Milkman |

Firewatch is a mystery set in the Wyoming wilderness, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio.
In Firewatch you play as a man named Henry who has retreated from his messy life to work as a fire lookout in the Wyoming wilderness. Perched high atop a mountain, it’s your job to look for smoke and keep the wilderness safe. An especially hot and dry summer has everyone on edge. Your supervisor, a woman named Delilah, is available to you at all times over a small, handheld radio and is your only contact with the world you’ve left behind.
But when something strange draws you out of your lookout tower and into the world, you’ll explore a wild and unknown environment, facing questions and making interpersonal choices that can build or destroy the only meaningful relationship you have. |

I wish I could have found a video of the thing I was referencing with that.
I already thought it was pretty silly when they switch the label the first time but then again, no one would shut up about the spiderman font.
This close to Playstation 3 games no longer being a thing (1-2 years) and 6 years into the PS3 library it urks me that they are changing it. I know they are doing it for PLAYSTATION IDENTITY but at the same time sacrificing the PS3s individual identity. Movies all look different but game console labels I like it when they stay the same and I don't have 2 games with completely different labels than my 20 other games. and now I'll have 3 different labels sets.
At least this generation the PS3 best sellers label actually looked kind of nice. That was a first in ever. Heck of a lot better than the J-PS3/PS2/PSX's sunflower yellow and box around the boxart. _________________ My Hawt Blog Vita Games

Radiangames’ next big game is available right now on Steam for $6.39 ($7.99 normally, with a ~20% launch week discount). It’s available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, with full gamepad support on all 3 platforms.
If this is your first time hearing about the game, it’s a metrovania-shooter where you can play as all 3 Powerpuff Girls. The game is voiced by the original voice actors, and you can choose between the classic cartoon style (seen above) or the new modern visuals. |

this is a good idea, especially since that it's been shown emulating a mouse in that showcase video playing Papers, Please! and a sort-of proof of concept with DS4 Tool allowing you to use the DS4's touchpad for mouse pointing. more than other pads, because of the surfaces, it could have dramatic potential to be a nice, portable macro machine for a lot of programs (imagine if one pad recognized 8 directions and each face button was a modifier, that's 64 combinations right there). it'd also be cheaper than most of those specialist keyboards for programs of that ilk.
not that I would do it for such a thing, I'd probably just shoot people with it. _________________

Igarashi has left Konami.
Akumajo Nosferatu incoming.
Actually, since Dracula is a public domain character they can just drop the Akumajo part. _________________
