Cat to flop in the field: what the hell, is that dash a glitch
Cat to flop in the field: why do the goons even try
finaru bara: i dont think they are
Cat to flop in the field: how on earth is this challenge mode
Cat to flop in the field: he just thinks crowds to death
Cat to flop in the field: how could anyone lose
Cat to flop in the field: i'm sad that people made music for this
Cat to flop in the field: it probably made them hate music
finaru bara: i like how there's a button prompt to jump down
finaru bara: only mechanic taken from god hand
Cat to flop in the field: "YAHOO" - goon, 2 seconds before exploding
Cat to flop in the field: he really thought he was gonna have a good time
Cat to flop in the field: he can god dash everywhere but has to climb up a caged wall
Cat to flop in the field: all of the goons have health bars even though they all die immediately
Cat to flop in the field: he killed a guy who died in 3 seconds instead of 2 and he left behind two floating baguettes
Cat to flop in the field: that's how you know he was a powerful foe
Cat to flop in the field: i can't get over this dash
Cat to flop in the field: it's just his immobile body slamming forward at the speed of god
finaru bara: gets grabbed by juda, then kills juda in one hit
Cat to flop in the field: legendary conflict
Cat to flop in the field: THIS DASH |

Possible with Mr. Heart. Unsurprisingly, it does not suddenly become awesome.

Ahh that's not like bowling, it's more like mowing the lawn. Bowling involves hitting the foremost pins of a groups at a particular angle. Well, and it has consequences if you miss.
Okay yeah this can't ever be good. |

| enemies come in crowds, enemies die in crowds. if one attack does not kill the whole crowd, than it were actually two crowds standing too close. |

| Also keep in mind that Fist of the North Star Warriors 2 is a bad game even by musou standards. |

As a result of this thread I have ordered both games on Amazon.
HNK is a great thing and Last Battle is a sublime kind of awful, I'm sure I can get some value out of the latest version. |

bad dub is half the fun of any musou game.
And since we're at it: Bad LP-dub sucks, doesn't matter which language, game or genre we're talking about. Why isn't there a Shut up button where you can silence the witty commentary that, too often, isn't that witty at all… _________________

| I actually feel pretty upset that there is only one 2D musou game (Dynasty Warriors Advance), and it kind of/really sucks. I guess I could get the actual experience I wanted from it in one of the more proper musous, but somehow that feels like the wrong answer. But there is no right answer. |

ah, never mind my ramblings. I have a horrible taste when it comes to cars, women, movies and music (I mean, can you listen to that? I can, and do!), so I should be the last to be taken serious here. Don't take it to heart! The LPs I really liked are some of the first few Zelda Game Grump-episodes and the Conker-Dev one, so … yeah.
Just me rambling! _________________

Man I don't know if I'd include Gundam 3 and Demon Chaos on that list but to each their own! Fist of the North Star 1 is ace though. I'd say One Piece Musou 2 is pretty good too (the first game is fairly interesting in its own ways but on the whole probably not an overall good game due to that game's structure). People seem to like Samurai Warriors but I haven't played any of them.
Overall though the musou genre is in vogue for cheap franchise tie-in games because it's easy to make a game where you just run around beating up enemies until the level says it's over (I'm looking at you Kamen Rider Battride War). |

i'm surprised there hasn't been warhammer or soul calibur musous yet.
i think demon chaos is worth playing just for the insane spectacle of it.
let's start a non-koei non-basara musou list~
oneechanbara (series)
demon chaos
ninety nine nights (series)
drakengard (series) _________________

Maybe the original Xbox Kingdom Under Fire games count? They have actual strategic elements, though, and your character isn't as good at cleaving through crowds as a true Musou hero would be. _________________

the later kingdom under fire circle of doom is pretty musou too, since it retains crowd cramming
kamen rider battride proves there's actual subtlety in the musou series that makes it less terrible than it could be
then there's saint seiya senki, and gundam breaker and castlevania curse of darkness which uses dynasty warrior's combat system, but actually manages to remove more depth from the combat
koei has some non-franchise musou titles too: mystic heroes, trinity: souls of zill o’ll, and crimson sea (maybe)
star wars battlefront and lotr conquest and tangentially related, being the western cousins of musou
then ofc there's spartan total warrior which is what musou games should aspire to be _________________

man, I own the first drakengard and demon chaos already and always wanted to check out NNN. I've loved Gundasty Warriors 1 and played lots of DW4, and I'll get Drakengard 3 when it comes out. So! I've realized that I am actually liking this kind of game more than I was aware of! _________________

Don't you guys dare compare Kingdom Under Fire to this shit. It's an actual Good Game.
How hyped are we for its latest outing? They've been working on it for... what now? Between Shenmue and Duke Nukem Forever years now, right? |

i wouldn't say battlefront has much to do with musou. it's a multiplayer fps and an obvious battlefield clone. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |
