man, I really had to hunt this down:
one store didn't even have it in their db, the other retailer tried to make me believe that it will come out next week and if it wasn't for that tiny gamespot (the last resort, since they are not exactly up-to-date - usually) at the corner of the mall, I would have had to go home without shooting ants in the face.
Alas!
EDF!
EDF!

fact:
The only game where I got 100% on XBL is EDF2017. This might be due to the stupid online-achievement things that most games have, or maybe because EDF2017 was so good. _________________

and the game does, too!
Granted:
The loading times are horrible (at least on the PS3), yes. Framerate is far, far away from 60fps, yeah.
But!
I've only played the first two missions over and over again (=> 721 dead ants) to grind some weapons, and yet I know that I'll love this game. The townsfolk really behave like ragdolls if they're pinched by ants. The story is total bullshit, yes! It's a proper successor to 2017, and so much better because it is so much worse than EDF:IA. I have to try and see how bad the slowdowns are in 2017, but my 2017 co-op buddy told me that the framerate also dipped in single digits territory in the last few missions (because: <huge> explosions). _________________

| EDF's explosions are generally worth admiring frame by frame rite ^_^ |
yes!
Especially if you can trace ant-parts (and poor civilians being caught in the explosion) going in different directions.
This is valid consumer advice, and serves a noble purpose, to educate ppl around the world how giant ants should (and should <not>) be attacked. Only Ikaruga-Bosses come close to that. _________________

no, should we do so?
what i found a bit surprising is that the voice chat (at least on the PS3) sometimes seems to make players crash out of rooms, but this might have been coincidence/bad luck.
Still, I like doing Inferno missions w/ other players, because you can see your doom™ some seconds earlier than if it was local co-op. Unfortunately, the local co-op party-feeling is missing a bit though =/ _________________
