Oh my God, Covetous Demon is the most pathetic thing I've seen in a while. It's like the last few seconds of Sif without any kind of admirable traits whatsoever.

My customary first-run prim 'n' proper knight. Her swords have been getting bigger over the course of the game, so I think I might just respec her so she can use Totally-Not-The-Dragonslayer-What's-Berserk-Never-Heard-Of-It. _________________ HeavyViper@Twitter ~~~ HeavyViper@Soundcloud

| What chest armor is that, schwere? |
It's the Alonne Captain's Armour. It's what the bigger mooks in Iron Keep wear. The ones with the lightning swords. I really like the pauldrons, very Samus-y.

| It really bugs me how long it can take for inventory to load icons sometimes. I wish the game was just fully installable to the PS3 HDD. |
For me it's worst when I've just started the game. Dialogue, menus and icons take quite a while to load. Once I've been playing for five to ten minutes it's fine, tolerable at the most. It can't be my hard drive, I replaced the stock one with a 7200rpm one not long ago... _________________ HeavyViper@Twitter ~~~ HeavyViper@Soundcloud

| sex change coffin |
Ha-ha, what? |
There's a coffin in the starting area of the game that changes the physical sex of the player's character. It keeps the basic body type chosen (small frame, large frame, stocky etc.) but changes the hairstyle and tweaks the Facegen parameters slightly so that the face leans towards more masculine/feminine features. Switches voices, too.
I tried it out when I first found it and the weird thing was it didn't change my character at all at first! Once I died and respawned at a bonfire though, it must have done the switch. I actually didn't notice for a while until I heard Serafinowicz' voice play when I got hit/killed.
Strange thing is, I went back to use the coffin again and the effect was instantaneous. Character got out of the coffin and was exactly how I'd made her. _________________ HeavyViper@Twitter ~~~ HeavyViper@Soundcloud

It's still possible to do, but players have more options to avoid/counteract it in NG. I can count the number of times I got invaded by a red phantom in my first run on one hand. _________________ HeavyViper@Twitter ~~~ HeavyViper@Soundcloud

People were quite upset that you can write nasty messages a few pages back.
EDIT: Perhaps I should drop the quote to make this the perfect top post. _________________ HeavyViper@Twitter ~~~ HeavyViper@Soundcloud

For what it's worth, I think it's clever how they twisted what I think everybody assumed to be a simple visual flourish of the HUD and turned it into a key for a few specific instances. Just stuck me as pretty cool when I realised what was happening. _________________ HeavyViper@Twitter ~~~ HeavyViper@Soundcloud
