| Yeah. To me, this game is a huge disappointment because I am in a tiny minority of people that think MW1 and 2 were achievements for their campaigns and not for their multiplayer. I just can't play the Default Multi FPS any more, it's more than tired, it's exhausted, it's in a coma. |
I really enjoyed playing through the campaigns for the Modern Warfare games (and also play a shameful amount of CoD TDM to this day), but playing Titanfall beta provided me with so many amazing moments that I certainly felt like could have been from a semi-scripted event from a MW game. Just so much STUFF can happen all at once, and it's terribly exciting to watch my screen violently shake from all the explosions that can happen all at once. It might not be as great as some of the best moments from the MW1 campaign, but it's most certainly better than what most FPS have been offering, campaign or multiplayer.
Ghosts multiplayer at first felt like a back to form for the CoD franchise, but just so many things fell apart after a few weeks of play (dogs, broken spawns, frustrating map designs that discouraged rushdown, unfun perk system, etc). I don't have any of those fears coming into Titanfall. It puts a big smile on my face when I don't have to count numbers or deal with dumb class balancing shit when I play. _________________

| Respawn also lied when they said quickscoping wasn't in, I did that shit by accident and it made me a littlesad. |
From what I can tell, they were referring to console version(?). There is no auto-aiming when starting to scope in on the Xbox. The reason why quickscoping was viable at all in console CoD was that auto-aim kicks up a bunch when you scope in, so you didn't need to track or lead your shot.
It's still a thing on PC, I guess. Sniping in general is pretty dang hard in this game; I'm miserable with the DMR.
I also suspect I am the only one playing on Xbox One. :( _________________

I personally have no qualms about Origin, and it doesn't deserve all the nerd rage it gets. I think it's mostly "it's DRM/distribution that isn't Steam" and "lol EA". _________________

There is a tweet from one of the developers that prestige is not a solid indicator of skill, and I mostly believe that. In past CoD, there would still be prestige 1 guys months after release who were blowing up prestige 10. It only measures your dedication to grinding and accomplishing goals.
Honestly, I don't even know why this was an issue now. The past CoD games never had skill matchmaking (to improve the speed of finding a lobby)? I personally don't care if I get rocked a few games in a row, since it makes it an incentive for me to play better. If people want to whine, then can they not just leave and find a different lobby?
I do suppose it could be the game can feel incredibly momentum-based if the dominating team can get an earlier Titan and the other side can't deny it. Teamwork is way more effective in this compared to most other FPS.
I do wish they would reduce the self inflicted damage from the Triple Threat, especially since it's a short range weapon. I think it's an amusing weapon, but it sucks when you blow yourself up because of it. _________________
