PS+ is worth it if you get a lot digital stuff and increases in value if you buy a PS4 and/or Vita. even if you don't cotton to the Instant Game stuff (since you don't technically own the games you get through it), you get some nice discounts. the one's I got on Puppeteer and TLoU last year were pretty much the price of the year of PS+ itself.

cool thing you should do: look up a guide for creating a JPSN account and now you can get demos and Japanese games downloaded to your system. of note, JPSN has tons more PSOne games for download, including some whose physical copies are stupid expensive.
