Well this is a new thing. We're getting Suda51 games on PC now? And Deep Silver's publishing?
That's...Weird but okay, sure I'll take it.
Never played this one, and don't know much about it except that it looks kinda like Killer 7, and it's supposedly bad (but Killer7 also got shitty reviews, so whatevs).
I'm already reading about having to adjust an .ini file to unlock the framerate. Eh. Seems easy enough to fix.
Sez Steam reviews: "This is a fun action game made by crazy japanese people who don't give any fucks about feminism."
Alrighty then.
It still has like an hour to download, so. 14 GB for this thing. _________________

Oh man the .ini file in this game is wiiiiide open. Hooray adjusting game variables at will. Also has helpfully commented-out developer notes on what all the variables do.
;Amount of time that player has to hold sword attack button to be considered to be charging sword attack when the player is idle
m_fFirstNormalOrChargeSwordAttackTimeThreshold = 0.7
;Amount of time that player has to hold sword attack button to be considered to be charging sword attack during a combo
m_fComboNormalOrChargeSwordAttackTimeThreshold = 0.2
;Amount of time that player has to hold sword attack button to be considered to be charging sword attack for the last hit of a combo
m_fLastNormalOrChargeSwordAttackTimeThreshold = 0.5
;Amount of time that player has to hold fire button to be considered to be charging shot
m_fNormalOrChargeShootAttackTimeThreshold = 0.1
;Slow motion speed to be used when the player has charged his shotgun shot to help him actually hit the boss.
m_fSloMoSpeedWhilePlayerIsAimingChargeShot = 0.5
;Acceptable distance for a sword attack.
m_fStandardSwordAttackDistance = 1000.0
m_fStandardSnapTargetSpeed = 1200.0
m_fStandardSnapTargetTime = 1.0
;AimcutEffect Time Setting

mAimcutEffTimeDatas[2] = ( AnimName="ANI_CH_Main_Mondo_ATK_Slice_03", DelayTime=0.25, BlendInTime=0.1, Duration=1.0, BlendOutTime=0.5,DOF=KidDOFSpawnable'SP_Main_Mondo.SP_Main_Mondo_Aimcut_DOF',EnemyLight=KidMovePointLightSpawnable'SP_Main_Mondo.SP_Main_Mondo_Aimcut_Enemy',PlayerLight=KidMovePointLightSpawnable'SP_Main_Mondo.SP_Main_Mondo_Aimcut_Player')
;World speed while the player is aiming with his sword.
m_fSwordAimAttackSlowMotionSpeed = 0.15
I'm not gonna mess with these (yet) because man you really could just snap the game in half in a heartbeat with these. _________________

Man I dunno if the PC master race has serious improvements (60 FPS mod works great btw) or I'm just really early in it or whatever, but this game is fun as shit and I'm enjoying myself a lot and I dunno what you're talking about.
This may change later but so far the weird Alice In Wonderland mission was good times.
And so far this is reeeeeaaally similar to Killer 7. It feels like a spiritual sequel so far.
We'll see if it keeps this up but so far I'm enjoying it. Yes, the mechanics suck, but so did the ones in Killer 7. Seriously, they were awful. I beat that game on Killer 8 difficulty without even trying. It is also not at all why I played that game. I played it because at no point did I have any idea of what to expect next; so far this game is showing every indication of playing out the same way.
But of course that may not come to pass and I may feel like an idiot for saying this later. We'll see! _________________

Just started this tonight. Haven't played enough to form an opinion yet though. Word is the FPS tweaks might screw up QTE things later on? _________________

Look suda crazy! Can't wait to pick this up when steam destroys the economy again.
How does the combat compare to lollipop chainsaw? And are there dumb as fuck side missions like NMheros? These are all my baseline thoughts for this stuff. _________________ Steam: Godamn_Milkman |

They do yes, but there is a fix for that as well. Google can help you out, but yell if you need and I'll walk you through it. S'pretty easy. I've been playing for a bit with these tweaks in place and the game seems fine to me. _________________

Found it! I love how weirdly transparent these config files are. Notepad becomes Game Genie.
And yeah, those gigolo mini-games are pretty iffy... _________________
