Ori is new, Entwined is new and Sony reportedly has new IPs coming up
I'm kinda eh on it; on one hand, a good game is a good game; on the other hand, even having new settings and characters can liven up an old idea
in short, I want a new F-Zero

no, it's just Onigiri, which very much isn't all-girl, but is very anime, and it coming over was a forgone conclusion, as the PC version is translated and the game had a client for the PS4's Japanese launch
but hey, that montage was the first confirmation of Kingdom Under Fire 2 coming to the West

I'll just assume that not being able to connect to sb was a side effect from Nintendo hype
anyway, MOUNTAINS, PLAYABLE MIDNA, 2 BAYONETAS, SQUIDS, CANCER, MARIO MAKER REAL
GAMES
I DON'T EVEN SEE WHERE THEY'RE GETTING THE MONEY FOR ALL OF THIS, BUT THEY'RE MAKING MORE GAMES THAN EVERYONE ELSE

well, with other games like Skylanders and Disney Infinity, you're buying a part of the core of the game. with Smash, you get to access some side mode about CPUs fighting each other
I will play Smash U for a billion hours and will never touch a toy, whereas Skylanders and Infinity drive buying more toys

there is no other developer that has picked up the legacy of Smash
not even that one time Game Arts, who were contracted for Brawl, made that TMNT fighter
the Dash Fighter Online thing's kickstarter fizzled
if you even dare to suggest Sony Smash, I will slap you
there's only one company doing Smash, Nintendo, and even they don't get it right all the time

Nintendo's Twitch stream has an archive of the entire day, from the Direct, the Treehouse Live stream and the tournament
I watched a bunch of Splatoon footage back to back with the R6: Siege trailer and I'm witnessing a world wherein Nintendo has made a more natural flowing, interesting looking and fun shooter (this is ignoring the fact that Nintendo has seemingly made one of the few arena shooters coming to consoles)

let me say this, I dig the fuck out of what Nintendo is doing/did instead of a presser. Sony has been moving in the same direction as well. I want less game journalists giving impressions based off ten minutes and more devs and staff shooting the shit for hours and actually showing off the game.

yes, even Bloodborne and UC4, which had no gameplay shown during said event

I wasn't asking about Akiba's Trip, but rather trying to defend SK by throwing AT in front of it as an embarrassing game
I've heard lots of good things about SV's versus mode from importers, so I'm kinda confident it'll be a solid if mindless game. Dekamori though, yeah, it looked kinda meh from its first gameplay trailers
and now that I've seen a 60 fps video of Splatoon, I want this game bad. I'm kind of amazed that I'm living in a world where Nintendo has made the shooter I want to play most, even if only by virtue of not being Military Shootman #81.

okay, so E3 is now over and the afterglow is starting to fade. it's time to ask that dumb and meaningless question: who won this industry trade show designed to help retailers order stock
the vibe I'm getting from this thread is that From, No Man's Sky and Nintendo made out pretty well, but I could be wrong
the real winner here is obvious though: 2015.

I am excited for Splatoon because the developers themselves went on record as saying that they made a concept for a game first, then everything else fell in place. which is why the whole squid thing and how the game plays and how fun it looks comes off so organically
