Hoping the 3DS version can tide us over. I do appreciate the variety of gameplay shown; that's definitely going to make me want to continue playing for a long time.

Cel-shaded Zelda, it's a nice look to combine the two visual strands that developed from Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Dynasty Warrior Zelda wasn't something I was expecting though. WELP.

Bayonetta is Bayonetta. Not liking the Nintendo tie-in costumes but they're optional content so whatever.

Kirby Canvas Curse, except on a console! Innovation is re-iteration.

I'll just assume that not being able to connect to sb was a side effect from Nintendo hype

anyway, MOUNTAINS, PLAYABLE MIDNA, 2 BAYONETAS, SQUIDS, CANCER, MARIO MAKER REAL

GAMES

I DON'T EVEN SEE WHERE THEY'RE GETTING THE MONEY FOR ALL OF THIS, BUT THEY'RE MAKING MORE GAMES THAN EVERYONE ELSE

Counterstrike for kids except with depth unexpected in something this cartoony. I'm liking Splatoon.

This is the most exciting Nintendo thing I've seen in a million years and it's going to fail spectacularly and the world is unjust and I weep seriously I want that shit to be an E-Sport

seriously, Nintendo as a single company seems to be making more games than any other developer

however, no new F-Zero, so I must dock Nintendo's presser several points and also buy some strong liquor to drown my sorrow

well, with other games like Skylanders and Disney Infinity, you're buying a part of the core of the game. with Smash, you get to access some side mode about CPUs fighting each other

I will play Smash U for a billion hours and will never touch a toy, whereas Skylanders and Infinity drive buying more toys

I swore I'd never trust Aonuma again but I can't lie: the promise of Zelda Scrolls has me hype.

Also, Xenoworkingtitle pretty much looks like everything Xenosaga should have been. I approve.

Oh and even though I never intended to play much more of Bayonetta I'm glad I can now sell my copy of the crappy PS3 port guilt-free.

When even the hardened hearts of SB are hyping out over the Nintendo conference I think it's pretty fair to say that they won E3.

Okay, going back and watching what I missed. The SB Miis having five unique classes is pretty cool. I thought they were just swapping them out for the characters, initially.

"In his new version of Star Fox — still fundamentally a spaceship-based shooter — players now use the GamePad's motion controls to aim and fire the Arwing's weapons, simultaneously controlling the nimble craft itself by thumbing the joysticks to accelerate or turn and pull off signature moves like barrel rolls, loops and the tactically essential Immelman turn. And you can still morph your Arwing into a land tank, rocketing down to the surface of a planet, then rattling around the battlefield and laying waste to the landscape.

"But Miyamoto and his team have added a new vehicle mode, one that's designed to exemplify the new motion control scheme: It lets up to two players pilot a helicopter-like craft, one player controlling the helicopter itself, the other controlling a tiny robot you can drop from a tether to roll around a limited area, either snatching up booty or blasting enemies. Leave the robot hanging as you fly around the battlefield and it becomes a kind of dangling, swingable cannon."

hopefully those motion controls are optional like MK8 but hey!

Itagaki must be crying that he has to make a game for a Japanese console. At least it's not Sony though.

I'm stuck in meetings. Are lots of things being announced?

Mostly just Splatoon was announced and it looks like an interesting Nintendo game which is now a magical unicorn.

Seeing the NFC implementation on the Wii U has killed my interest in that feature completely. RIP impractical and imaginary Lord of Vermillion/arcade TCG genre Wii U ports.

I can't listen to it but is it using fancy new graphics while using the old Doom 1 sound effects for monster voices? I sure hope so.

I gotta say, I'm really liking Nintendo's whole "rescue endangered games from prestige developers" strategy
