| seriously, Nintendo as a single company seems to be making more games than any other developer |
At least for the Wii U, they kind of have to since nobody else wants to make games for their system. I was personally a bit bored by Nintendo's safe approach of trotting out sequels/spinoffs to the same franchises, again and again. Xenosaga Chronicles looks pretty great though.
And it might be worth mentioning that Microsoft actually seems to have a much more full slate of first party published releases than either Sony or Nintendo. It's not just Halo/Forza/Fable (which do fill their niches), but a pretty nice spectrum of other stuff with a pretty healthy mix of new IP: Sunset Overdrive, Crackdown, Phantom Dust, Scalebound, Quantum Break, Ori and the Blind Forest, the Gears game we know they have Black Tusk working on...
MS has a lesser version of Nintendo's problem though, in that while at least they GET most of the third party games that come to PS4, PS4 versions to this point have been better thanks to the more powerful hardware.
Lack of gameplay or not, Bloodborne has been the most exciting thing I've seen from all the conferences. MS had a good overall showing. Nintendo is just rehashing the same franchises they do for every console generation. |

I'm personally more interested in Nintendo's line-up (as a whole). Still want to see more gameplay from Bloodborne...

I wish Miyamoto's robot sumo wrestling game was actually made by Sandlot and actually a RAD sequel, but it might be fun. _________________

looks like I can actually claim cautious optimism for Zelda and Xeno, which really isn't bad at all under the circumstances
I'll gladly play Bayo 2 once it gets cheap but not before
despite the fact that I really feel strongly about sitting out new installments of Smash and Kart because other developers have picked up their respective legacies well enough on less janky platforms, and despite me generally not having a great feeling about a one-developer console for which all the really good software costs $65* (* in Canada) forever thanks to a long-outdated only-game-in-town mentality, I own and have a moderate amount of faith in the WiiU.
are anything of the neat-looking PS4 games other than Miyazaki's not also coming to PC?
I'm curious to see how much they do with the Grim Fandango remake, too. I'm in the "only ever played the original for 15 minutes don't really love adventure games other than Maniac Mansion and Loom" camp.
not really expecting much from Suda or Itagaki's new murder simulators but that means either one has the potential to be a pleasant surprise!
also, very little is coming out this year. even games that were already coming out this year (X, Witcher 3) aren't necessarily coming out this year. I'm expecting Massive Chalice to get bumped too. thst's basically fine. |

there is no other developer that has picked up the legacy of Smash
not even that one time Game Arts, who were contracted for Brawl, made that TMNT fighter
the Dash Fighter Online thing's kickstarter fizzled
if you even dare to suggest Sony Smash, I will slap you
there's only one company doing Smash, Nintendo, and even they don't get it right all the time _________________

Mario Maker needs more tileset and physics options, SMB 1 only is really limiting the potential. _________________

I will spend money on Mario Maker if someone proves that you can fully recreate Kaizo Mario on it

I think it's referred to as Color TV-Game 15 in-game, Nintendo's clone of the game from 1978. _________________

Nintendo's Twitch stream has an archive of the entire day, from the Direct, the Treehouse Live stream and the tournament
I watched a bunch of Splatoon footage back to back with the R6: Siege trailer and I'm witnessing a world wherein Nintendo has made a more natural flowing, interesting looking and fun shooter (this is ignoring the fact that Nintendo has seemingly made one of the few arena shooters coming to consoles) _________________

what do you mean will
apparently /v/ has been having Splatoon threads all day and they are rapidly approaching 100 pieces of squid girl porn
edit: this is not to be confused with porn of Squid Girl, or Squid Girl herself, whose creator knows about Splatoon and has already done fanart for it
Splatoon has gone viral with the seedier crowds of the internets _________________
