Alright, so I have a 360 that has spent years as a Halo machine, and I'll be getting a Wii soon. I'm also getting quite bored of the games I've been replaying/speedrunning recently. With the next gen about to drop its payload over the coming year, I need something to tide me over.
Things I prioritize: replay value, speedrunnability, general good-ness, low price.
I'll start off with an obvious one: Vanquish (360/PS3, ~$10 used). If you like any kind of shooter then you should pick this up. It's a little like Gears meets Team Clover which makes sense considering it's a Platinum game. _________________ stream - steam - tweets

cheap last-gen is gonna read just like the best of last gen for SB's tastes.
Bullet Witchhhhhhhhh. BW is all about replaying it. It is all about the good stuff. It is all low price. The speedrun factor is hilarious considering the final boss. Which I won't spoil.
My you're looking sexy Reed, have you checked out and contributed to our wonderful wiki. _________________ My Hawt Blog Vita Games

Would Pac Man CE count? I think that's a fun entry and cheap too. _________________ Steam: Godamn_Milkman |

Fight Night Champion is pretty great and it's dirt cheap if you just buy the campaign and the local multiplayer since they sell the game modes individually (like $10, I think)
Wii-wise, get S&P2 if you haven't played that yet
Anarchy Reigns is pretty damn enjoyable as, like, Platinum does Power Stone meets Dynasty Warriors. it's a crying shame that the online-only multi is deserted but even brawling the AI is fun
Armored Core Verdict Day is real good and cheap now, get it
Red Faction Guerrilla is pretty dang fun despite its generally jankiness due to the destructible environments, that one is worth it
Trine 2 is a lot of fun multi, gorgeous to look at, and has lots of medium-difficulty puzzles that typically have non-fixed solutions
Witcher 2 is fucking excellent if you still haven't played it and I'm not sure of the quality of the 360 port but it's probably worth it
Sonic Generations is very alright, though don't just from the demo because Green Hill is kind of boring. |

Mirror's Edge. There is an option to speed run the main levels which is fine with some issues, but the meat of the game is in the many times trials made out of chunks of said individual levels. Put a ton of time into getting 3 star times on many of them and doing so you get a great feel for all the little control quirks that allow you to better interact with the environment while maintaining much more momentum.
Also this is the point where I'd say try a Skate game, probably the first one. They are replayable enough but mainly they are just great to move around and interact with stuff in. _________________ http://www.audioatrocities.com/games/castlevania-sotn/clip1.mp3 |

Well I can say NOT to buy that ninja turtle game. I'm sure everyone is shocked to hear it was less than stellar. But a lot of cool stuff on there. Though that reminded me that most any halo game would probably be cheap by now. A lot of good FPS to be had from yesteryear. _________________ Steam: Godamn_Milkman |

I grabbed Devil May Cry 4, myself. Heard a lot of good, although of course Legendary Dark Knight mode isn't an option. I'd say at the price they're going, Gears 3, Deus Ex and Dishonoured are worth a peak if you're unfamiliar. The last two probably make for interesting speedrunning, Dishonoured especially. No clue for Gears games in general, though.
The Ground Zeroes sale doesn't seem to be valid in Europe...

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts - it doesn't quite meet your criteria, but it's an underrated game about building Lego cars that allow you to creatively solve complex problems. People didn't like it because it wasn't a collectathon platformer.

The thing with Bulletstorm is that the actual story mode, aside from some genuinely funny stuff (the entire plot is your main guy screwing up everything he touches in escalating ridiculous ways, the female sidekick calls him out a lot for being a pig, etc), kinda is not where the game is. It's the little closed pieces of the story, where you get to pick your guns and try to maximize things, that were the most fun.

Actually what annoyed me most in nuts and bolts was how much of a collectathon it was. Still a super neato game though. |

booting up the Nuts and Bolts demo in 2013 is actually a fairly horrifying experience -- big, expansive, empty-feeling levels, weird platformer physics, hideous bloom lighting, etc. it's like being trapped in some kind of horrible modern N64 nightmare. the game does actually have some decent parts to it, but I don't necessarily think it's worth overcoming that nightmarish first impression
I still haven't played more than the bulletstorm demo. it's fun! I'm just not at all confident I'd actually put much time into it. |

It's awful! Don't do it. If you're in the mood for a unique Japanese Wii game try Little King's Story. Not sure how cheap it is though.

Dragon Quest Swords is pretty cool. Do it! Just don't expect the motion to be 100% accurate. _________________ Get Xenoblade Chronicles!

| it's so awesome, once you beat all the game modes you get rRootage, Gunroar, and Torus Trooper as unlockables, in addition to the original TUMIKI Fighters itself. It's the only way to own any Kenta Cho game on console thus far and under 5 bux! |
