That's about the long and short of it. But since it's written I'm posting it. It's for the first match in the video below, from the game Naruto Shipuuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3.





0:21- The match starts. Sasuke jumps and throws some shuriken while simultaneously calling his Itachi assist, a giant fireball (the aerial version of the assist is faster than the grounded version). Sasuke then does a ninja dash cancel, canceling the recovery of the shuriken throw into an aerial dash towards Naruto. This lets Sasuke move forward with two projectiles covering his back.

But at the start of the match Naruto decided to just walk to the right and see what Sasuke does. Seeing Sasuke’s projectiles Naruto decides to dodge and counter attack. Naruto jumps to the right, does a ninja move to circle around Sasuke (the ambiguously named “ninja move” is a jumping movement with extended distance and the ability to curve around the opponent’s side) and then loads chakra to quickly cancel the ninja movement into an aerial chakra shuriken. In Sasuke manages to block the chakra shuriken Naruto also call his Lee assist who will do a series of far reaching melee attacks, stopping Sasuke from punishing Naruto while Naruto is still recovering from landing after the shuriken.

0:22- Sasuke blocks the chakra shuriken. You can’t tell until the fireball moves out of the camera frame but Sasuke loads chakra and then does a chakra dash while Naruto is recovering. When you chakra dash into the opponent the opponent gets momentarily stunned but it also has a long start up, long enough such that Naruto recovers, jumps into the air and blocks. Sasuke’s chakra dash is blocked (and hits Lee , causing Lee stumble to wait longer before he leaves the field and his assist meter begins regenerating). Naruto lands and just walks forward, giving Sasuke time to recover, jump, and guard.

0:24- Naruto does a single attack which knocks back the blocking Sasuke a fair distance. Attacks have a very long recovery if not canceled so when Sasuke lands he does his special move, a long range projectile called the Inferno Style: Flame Control. This was a bad decision however because Naruto jumps cancel his attack and throws some shurikens, hitting Sasuke before the special move can come out. Sasuke makes another bad decision and decides to move after the shuriken’s measly hitstun. Naruto not only threw his shuriken but he had simultaneously called his Tenten assist who, thanks to her faster activation in mid-air, throws an explosive ball at Sasuke and launches him into the air.

0:25- Naruto jumps and chakra dashes into the aerial Sasuke and starts attacking. Several hits into the combo Naruto tries to pre-empt a substitution by Sasuke and does a ninja dash cancel mid combo (you can tell by the orange circle flash) to dash into Sasuke while Sasuke is recovering from the substitution but his prediction is a tad too early. Sasuke substitutes out of Naruto’s air dash and then does an aerial chakra dash, stunning Naruto. Instead of comboing and risking Naruto doing a substitution he just throws his fire talisman item, instantly knocking Naruto down to the ground and giving Sasuke time to play a wake-up game.

0:28- Sasuke jumps close, calls his Tobi assist, and then charka dashes away from Naruto. Naruto recovers before Tobi can lay the minefield around him so Naruto jump and aerial ninja dashes towards Sasuke, canceling the dash into a chakra shuriken throw at the chakra dashing Sasuke. Sasuke’s recovers in time and blocks.

0:32- Naruto tries to ninja dash into Sasuke which would cause hitstune but Sasuke jumps out of the way and does his own ninja dash into Naruto. Sasuke then begins to combo Naruto. Naruto substitutes but Sasuke ninja dash cancels and hits Naruto. However for some reason it looks like Sasuke has the longer recovery, letting Naruto recover and start comboing Sasuke. Sasuke once against substitutes and throws a fire talisman to knock Naruto away. Completely out of chakra, Sasuke stands in place to charge his chakra meter while Naruto is still recovering.

0:38- Sasuke jumps and throws chakra shuriken to hit the recovering Naruto but does it too early. Naruto tries to do a chakra dash but Sasuke lands and starts a combo. Naruto then does a substitution and tries to counterattack. However Sasuke cancels his attacks into a charge attack (by holding down the attack button you leap backwards and wait in place, rushing forward when the button is released). This lets him dodge Naruto’s attacks and counter. Sasuke briefly combo and then called his Itachi assist for backup in case Naruto substitutes behind Sasuke. Naruto does substitute and tries to attack but Sasuke cancels his own attack into a ninja move away from Naruto. Itachi is a tad off position and misses Naruto.

0:42- Sasuke double jumps to the right. Naruto jump cancels his attacks and throws a shuriken. Sasuke does a ninja move back left and throws his ninja balloon item. Naruto jumps and does an aerial chakra dash to hit Sasuke. Sasuke jump blocks but Naruto has closed the distance.

0:45- Naruto attacks while calling his Lee assists. Sasuke blocks but the Lee assist keeps him locked down. Since Naruto is free to move around Sasuke’s safest option is to just block at this point. If he were to substitute out of Lee’s attacks Naruto would be able to punish him. Unfortunately Sasuke is close to a guard break (denoted by the orange, then red, blocking effect). Naruto jumps and does a chakra dash in an attempt to break the guard while simultaneously calling the Tenten assist to cover his back in case Sasuke substitutes. Sasuke’s guard is broken and Lee’s final attack launches Sasuke into the air. Naruto uses this time to quickly charge some chakra.

0:48- Sasuke recovers in the air but Naruto jump chakra dashes and hits him. Naruto combos for a bit before Sasuke substitutes and chakra dashes, flying straight into the last hit of Naruto’s combo due to the magic of hitboxes. Naruto quickly tries to charge chakra.

0:52- Sasuke calls his Tobi assists to cover his wake-up and to stop Naruto from charging. Naruto has only one substitution stock left while Sasuke has two but Naruto has the chakra lead- regardless, Sasuke decides to rush in and try to force Naruto into running out of substitutions. Naruto jumps backwards and starts throwing a chakra shuriken but Sasuke does a jumping chakra dash and hit Naruto first, starting a combo. Naruto uses his final substitution and throws a fire talisman to knock Sasuke back, which would give Naruto time to create a distance and recharge his substitution bar. However Sasuke substitutes through the fire talisman and tries to quickly chakra dash into Naruto. But Naruto jumps to the side, Sasuke misses, and Naruto does his own chakra dash into a combo. Sasuke uses his final substitution but does it at a bad time- at that point in Naruto’s combo string he does several lunges forward, moving him away from Sasuke’s desperate attacks.

0:58- Seeing the opening chance, Naruto cancels his combo into a chakra shuriken and hits Sasuke. Naruto then cancel the recovery of that attack into an Instant Awaking, putting him into a super mode and letting him combo off the shuriken. Sasuke futilely calls his Itachi assists which quickly gets hit alongside Sasuke. Naruto continues his combo.

1:03- Naruto loads chakra mid-combo and cancels his attacks into a chakra shuriken. He then de-activates the Awakening mode, canceling the recovery of the chakra shuriken and letting him continue the combo. At this point Sasuke has started to recover his substitution meter but waits for the combo to end.

1:06- Unfortunately for Sasuke Naruto calls his Lee assists mid-combo, allowing Naruto to extend this combo even further. While Lee is attacking, Naruto jump cancels his own attacks and throws a shuriken, allowing Naruto to quickly stop his combo. Once Lee launches Sasuke into the air Naruto jumps and chakra dashes to keep this combo going. Sasuke is taking the damage and saving his substitution meter for later.

1:13- Naruto jumps backwards and throws a chakra shuriken for wake-up pressure and giving him a slight amount of time to charge chakra. He then jumps and cancels a leftwards ninja move into a chakra shuriken but not only does this miss but he also gets hit by Sasuke’s own chakra shuriken.

1:16- Sasuke continues jumping left while Naruto does his Rasengan special move for some reason. Sasuke tries to capitalize on the mistake with a chakra shuriken barrage but Naruto blocks just in time. Naruto chakra dashes into the air towards Sasuke. Sasuke does a grounded ninja move to evade and get behind Naruto but Naruto uses up his last fire talisman to hit Sasuke, knocking him back into the air. Since Naruto has used his assists enough his Support Drive is active and Lee, choses as a “attack mode” assist, automatically comes in to knock Sasuke back towards Naruto, granting a combo opportunity, but Sasuke calls in Itachi to take the hit instead, allowing Sasuke to safely recover but depleting Itachi’s life by two bars. If an assist loses all of their life they cannot be used for the rest of the battle.

1:22- Sasuke lands and guards but Naruto is standing in place, charging. Since Naruto’s Support Drive is still active and his Tenten assist is in “defense mode” Tenten sets up a defense, blocking Sasuke’s path. Sasuke tries to bait an action out of Naruto by chakra dashing forward, canceling it into a guard and then ninja moving to the left while calling his Itachi assist. Naruto tries to punish the ninja move by doing a chakra dash and getting a few combo hits on Sasuke before Sasuke substitutes out. Naruto is then hit by the Itachi assist. Sasuke’s Support Drive is active, the attack mode Itachi comes into to hit Naruto one more time but Naruto calls Tenten to take one for the team.

1:27- Naruto lands and jumps backwards but gets hit by a chakra dash from Sasuke. Sasuke expects a substitution and cancels his chakra dash into a guard and does another chakra dash. This technique would have hit Naruto if he had substituted however Naruto just recovers and guards the second chakra dash. Both characters try to mash out an attack with Sasuke winning the exchange. Since Sasuke’s support drive is active and Itachi is in attack mode, Itachi beings attacking alongside Sasuke’s combo. While Itachi is hitting Naruto Sasuke cancels his own character’s attack string into a charge attack, rushing back into Naruto and starting his attack string over. Naruto then substitutes but Sasuke does another charge attack cancel, leaping away from Naruto’s attacks. Naruto calls Tenten who jumps in front of him and gets hit by Sasuke’s charge attack, letting Naruto’s continuing combo string to hit Sasuke. Sasuke substitutes just as Naruto cancels into Instant Awakening in an attempt to do major damage.

1:33- Naruto’s attacks in awakened form have him travel far away from Sasuke but Sasuke uses his Inferno Style: Flame control special move which quickly flies forward and his Naruto. This move is followed by Sasuke’s Tobi assists laying a minefield around Naruto and causing minor OTG damage. Sasuke takes this opportunity to charge chakra. His lack of substitution meter means he must be careful about pressuring Naruto even though Naruto has no chakra.

1:37- Sasuke uses aerial chakra shuriken to attack the recovering Naruto but begins charging chakra, the defense mode Tenten assists guarding against the shuriken thanks to the Support Drive being active. Sasuke maintains his distance and begins charging chakra.

1:41- Naruto uses a jump ninja dash to close some distance and cancels it into a chakra shuriken while Sasuke does a ninja move and cancels it into his own chakra shuriken. Thanks to support drive and Sasuke’s Tobi assists being in “balance mode” Tobi throws a barrage of chakra shuriken alongside Sasuke. The chakra shuriken from both players cancel each other out as they land. Sasuke guards as Naruto approaches. Naruto jumps forward. Sasuke reacts by dodging with a ninja move, canceling it into a chakra shuriken. This jump was a feint- Naruto lands on the ground, ducking the chakra shurikens and countering with a chakra dash into Sasuke. However Sasuke’s Support Drive let Tobi also throw a shuriken, covering Sasuke’s back and hitting Naruto.

1:44- Sasuke lands and guard, Naruto tries to attack mid-air and misses. Sasuke jumps backwards as Naruto lands and tries to attack again. Naruto cancels his attack into a chakra dash but is punished by a barrage of chakra Shuriken from Sasuke. Sasuke then uses his Inferno Style: Flame Control special move, maintain his distance as he waits for his substitution meter to begin recharging. However this move stays on the ground, letting Naruto jump and chakra dash into Sasuke as Sasuke recovers.

1:48- Naruto begins a combo and calls his Lee assist just as Sasuke’s substitution bar starts recovering. Sasuke can’t risk this damage and substitutes just as he hits two substitution stocks, bringing him back down to one stock and resetting the timer before his substitution meter begins recharging again. Sasuke jumps away from Naruto to safety. Naruto jump cancels his combo and does a chakra dash but Sasuke guard it mid-air. Sasuke then begins to punish Naruto with a combo but tries to bait a substitution, guard canceling his attacks and doing a chakra shuriken while simultaneously calling his Itachi assist. Naruto guards just in time. I have no idea how but Sasuke also recovers all of his chakra instantly.

1:52- Sasuke does a ninja move backwards to get away and Naruto punishes this with a chakra shuriken. Sasuke is hit- Naruto cancels his recovery with an instant awakening, runs forward, and begins attacking with the awakened Naruto’s far reaching combo. However he’s just a tad too far away and barely misses Sasuke. He continues to attack in an attempt to hit the fleeing Sasuke. However Sasuke’s full meter lets him doe his Team Ultimate Jutsu, an attack that comes out in one frame. Naruto is in the middle of an attack and is point blank- he has no time to guard. This attack does half life and kills Naruto.
