Didn't know where else to put this, and I didn't want it to get buried in other threads, as its too cool.
A stunning new on-going documentary series from Red Bull Music Academy about the dawn of video game music and the revolutionary composers of their time (Hip Tanaka, Yuzo Koshiro, Nobuo Uematsu)
Freaking amazing.

I think their research and how in-depth they are going with this, just from the first episode alone, is well done. I mean, its not your generic "Oh listen to some NES music! Wasn't that neat?!" No, they got some great composers and games referenced in there. Gimmick?! And The Hip Tanaka interview was superb. And seeing the breakdowns on sketchpads of compositions is great.
Love the way its shot and can't wait to see the other episodes and interview. Especially Yuzo Koshiro.

Unrelated, they did an amazing interview with MF DOOM. As any fan of his knows, he's a Sasquatch of hip hop and recluse, and there is a good hour of great digging and questions with him.

Episode 2 is up!
Focused on Konami and Sunsoft, with its cult hit Gimmick and featuring a great interview with its composer!
And damn, I want a Blade Runner-like movie using the OST of Lagrange Point! Such freaking good music!

Oh man, that interview with the composer of Street Fighter II was great, and funny insight on the making of the Blanka theme.

Episode 4 is up and its ALL ABOUT THAT SEGA!

FREAKING HIRO & YUZO!

SO GOOD!!!!!
