Childhood cartoon favorite is now available as an adventure game with Esteban, Zia, and Tao as playable characters. The anime style is different from the cartoon, but it's also a first tier item for the current Weekly Humble Bundle.

Buy it for a dollar and go trouncing through China with me in a giant golden condor ship.

This is particularly serendipitous since I'm reacquainting myself with the cartoon series. The game hails itself as Season 2 of the adventure, which makes me wonder if it is a videogame version of content planned for the cartoon or if it's just called "Season 2" to remind people that it's a sequel to the cartoon with about as many hours of playtime as the show was long (~12 hours I think).

It's based out of the somewhat-unsuccessful animated sequel to the original show circa 2012. French animators, mostly, albeit some of the original japanese scenario writers were on board as advisers.

If I recall, it gathered very low ratings and was broadcast almost nowhere, so they repacked the whole story as a game w/the animated bits.

Adil, I found out about this back int he spring and scoured the Internet to find it. As someone who enjoyed the series circa age 5, I thought it was fantastic. They pick up right where things left off 30 years ago, the characters are spot on (with some subtle tones of them starting to mature), and the tone feels pitch-perfect with the former series (which I rewatched a few years ago). Best thing I've watched all year, or last year even! Probably not a KoP post; I thought of looking for the game too. It's like some kind of adventurey thing, methinks!
