talk about them
in all sorts of ways
help a brother out in finding sexy leather jackets
all i can seem to find in and around my city are old-man leather jackets, which are nice, in the respect that they'd look nice under not-so funky impressions
and i'm after funky impressions, folks!
so tell me about your prime shopping place for leather jackets and your favorite looks ^_^ |

God Damn It I had a hardocre DMC biker jacket (got it from a store that sells jackets, boots, jeans, helmets and POW-MIA patches and nothing else) that I got in high school so that I could play Kinickie in Grease (ha ha ha). It was fucking sweet. Then it got stolen my sophomore year of college.
I have a trendier jacket now and it's nice and all but damn do I miss my DMC. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

I'm actually looking for a leather jacket right now.
It's goddamn hard to find decent looking ones.
Maybe someone can recommend brands!?
I'm looking for a jacket that wll actually offer some protection when riding the motorcycle while looking good enough to wear it on other occasions.
Something light that can be worn in summer would be nice... |

Man I swore by my jacket and it had a big label that said "DMC" inside but I'll be damned if I can find anything about it on the google. Hmm. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

i think leather jackets are kind of lame. it takes a certain kind of cachet to pull them off. (one I definitely DO NOT have) _________________

| Does anyone know of some good non-leather leather jackets for vegans? Other than the Vegetarian Shoes jackets (which are barely OK), I haven't seen any that I've remotely liked. |

If this thread had been made a week later, I'd take a picture of my red leather coat. However, I won't remember long enough to do that. Somebody remind me and I will though.
edit: Since I'm here, here's a really weird/tacky jacket that I bought at the thrift store last year in Boulder, CO. It's neither warm nor stylish, but the sheer bizarreness of it was enough to entice me into shelling out the lowly sum they demanded.

your best bet is to get something slick like a snowboard jacket or something from Mountain Hardware. neither imposing or uncool.
or just go with a army parka.

I think he's kind of out of luck. Both of our jackets (and all the exorbidantly more expensive and better ones I've looked at) are from Japan.
I found one store has a couple I really like, but they are far beyond my price range (talking about 500 dollars.) |

Joe has a pretty classy leather jacket, but then there are only certain types of people who can wear them and get away with it, and Joe might be one of them. _________________ “We completely understand the public’s concern about futuristic robots feeding on the human population, but that is not our mission,” - Harry Schoell, Cyclone Power Technologies Inc, in response to erroneous reports about a robot under development. |

Thanks, but I meant a leather jacket specifically. I have the milsurp and the tweed and the pea-coats and such covered but sometimes I want to look like I can fuck a ***** up.

Yeah, Florida and leather jackets don't go so well together. I think the yearly average of night time lows is like 78 degrees. That's barely long-sleeve t-shirt weather, man.
I did have a leather jacket when I lived in Japan, Europe and NC. But not here :( _________________ Still alive. |

None of my other clothes have much of story behind them, but both my (black) leather jackets were both acquired under unusual circumstances ... which is the only way they should be, I think :
1) Kinda beat-up suit jacket style. It's charm on the ladies was incredible ! Bounced a stolen cheque for it in my delinquent teenage years. Wore it for years after, and eventually passed it on to a friend. Still going strong, apparently ~
2) Motorcycle jacket. Won in a radio competition ... not sure how it happened, but I woke up one morning, turned on the radio just as some guy called my name, and there it was. The thing is suit-of-armour heavy, tough as nails, bit of a trouble magnet ... don't wear it so much these days, but I love it nonetheless.

Not exactly looking for a jacket, but I'm wondering if any of you guys know where I can get sweet leather boots.
Edit: *specifically I want old vintage motorcycle/engineer boots. Nothing new or with any writing on them unless they say something like US Military or so... _________________ interdimensional |

Are there any army surplus stores in or near your town? Mil. surp. stores tend to have a good selection of engineer boots, I find. _________________ Taking a break. |

Unfortunately, I don't think I could ever pull of a leather jacket. Not ever.
They're for tough and rough looking guys, anyway. If you've got a baby face then you have no business wearing one, in my opinion.
Haircute's jacket is pretty tight. |

bomber jackets bad
rider jackets good
Brown bad
Black good
When you find one that really fits its like magic, you just want it. You may not be able to afford it :( but your going to really want it.
just make sure it fits your wardrobe and you mode of transportation (if you drive). Nothing worse than a leather jacket and some nice boots trapped in a camery. Id take the bus before I let that happen. _________________ Mixtapes galore ~ VG MUSIC
