i once briefly dated someone i met off a personals site. she was actually smart and creative and fairly yummy, which i firmly established over long phone calls before agreeing to meet her. it was nice for a little while, but ultimately didn't work out, which i guess is how these things go. that pretty much satisfied my curiosity over online personals. for the most part i like to know someone for a while before dating.
