Christopher is 6th. I have a boring average name. I'ma name my kid Maximo, rank 983rd. Then he can be an introverted artist type. Or... you know, fight goblins.

Huh. Aidan is 54th. Not bad, but I'm not sure which end of the list is "better" to be on.

I can't believe there are 4.7 times as many Xaviers being born as there are Tony's. Don't these people get Sopranos?

I'm #125 (Stephen), which seems low (though it should really be added to Steven, which is at 70). Stephen was the most common name at my high school (2 Stephens and 2 Stevens), and Stephen Colbert and Steve Carrel became two of the hottest comedians in the last couple years.

Teflon: Do you know that at the time of the Sopranos finale there was also a NBA Finals game where Tony Parker scored the most points, and the Tony's? That was your fucking night.

I'm off the chart here, and I'm not spelled wrong or anything.

Sure, and they're probably all named Antonio.

My kid's going to be named Shel. Haven't decided on the last name yet.

Yeah, Tony is typically short for Antonio I think.

So if your name's number 42, does that mean that no one remembers who your parents are?

all of my names are too popular.

the bottom of the girls' list has some interesting names.

if i wasn't incapable of fathering a child, i'd name my daughter miwoko (literally "three-hundredth daughter"), and my son hyakuhachirou ("hundred and eighth son").

i'm not even kidding!

as far as japanese names go, they're pretty clean and simple, in addition to also being kind of bizarre.

my brother named his first daughter "isabella", which is what my dad always wanted to name a daughter, if he had a daughter. he never had a daughter.

i wonder about the people who go and name their child "xiomara". do they think they'll be the only person in the country this decade to name their child with that name?

if you're going for originality, you might as well name your child after a household object.

in closing, my friend's cousin named her baby "gitaa". which is in kanji, though spelled out in katakana it's identical to the japanese rendering of the english word GUITAR

Patrick Swayze would like a word with you, sir.

My cousin's a welder; at one point he worked for a guy who had named his sons Torque and Rebar.

D: Autumn is rank 80.

Pretty unpopular UIH along with all Chases.

I knew a boy that was named Chase once. He liked me and then moved away. Odd. I remember him distinctly because he had black hair, light green eyes and freckles. I always thought that was a pretty lovely combination.

I have dark hair, brown eyes and no freckles. I'm doomed.

Giancarlos is nowhere on the list, even in its original italian form, Giancarlo.
That makes me a special and unique snowflake, dammit.

I'm surprised at how far down Hillary is. Seemed like a popular name in my mind. Maybe people hate Clinton.

Or to a lesser extent, Duff.

Also, over 5,000 people named their kid India, which is not a name. Indiana however, is a name, especially cool when followed with the last name Jones.
