1 - 0 Ecuador
Nice goal. Chile have been dominating possession but haven't been able to get the strikers involved. Eduador look good on the counter. _________________ tim? |

That was a great game. Back and forth and back and forth. I love the way Ecuador plays even if it leads to their destruction.
And what a second game! Nery Castillo! |

3-2 Chile! Best game so far. Valdivia (he plays in Palmeiras here, good player) and Suazo were great.
Mexico won 2-0. I'm not surprised by the loss but by the score, I was expecting at least one goal. And Dunga isn't very much of a smart coach because, well, he never worked as one before. Doni shouldn't be at the goal. |

Why isn't Julio Cezar playing?
Doni kind of sucks. He was one of the reasons Man Utd crushed Roma in the Champs league. His individual collapses lead to a team collapse.
I think Dunga is doing rather well, loli. Compare him to the trials and tribulations of the England managers. |

Exactly. And Helton, who is on the squad, is better too.
Argentina has a very strong team. Riquelme won the Copa Libertadores finals by himself. Ibarra, Palacio and Messi are on their best and Tevez is still good. |

Guys I am well up for the Argentina game tonight, I have only just realised this. It's been a good attacking tournament thus far. Also Celtic 'legend' Eddie Johnson is playing.
That first Mexico goal was pretty saucy. Mexican keeper was easily man of the match though. _________________ tim? |

Yeah, the Copa has been great so far. Loads of attacking play, far more so than the recent WC and Euro tournaments.
I'm going to say that Marquez was MotM for Mexico vs. Brazil. He was instrumental in terms of organizing the defense, breaking up attacks and distributing the ball from the back such that Mexico retained possession. If you guys watched the Gold Cup you'd realize how much of a difference he makes for that team.
As for Brazil, I think Dunga set them up for failure when they came out in a 4-5-1. He'd castrated the team before they'd even kicked a ball. They looked a lot better when Alfonso and Anderson came on -- if they magically replaced Dunga with me, I would replace Elano with Fred and Miniero with Anderson and play a "box"-style midfield from here on it. |

People are saying that Anderson will be a starter against Chile.
I think we're lacking a #9 the most. Afonso did a decent job but he is no Ronaldo. Alexandre Pato from the U-20 team is the most promissing forward we have (it seems he's going to Chelsea). |

| Poor Ronaldo, I thought his recent form deserved a call up to the squad. |

Milan could have been involved. With Eto'o and Sheva both unavailable then they're going to be needing Ronaldo right from the start of the season. _________________ tim? |
