So I just finished a night shift at work, doing inventory after closing. I basically left the house as soon as it became as dark as it was going to get, and I left the store just as twilight hit.

I walk to and fro, so I just got to head off towards the dawn as the sun rose until I made it back.

The graphics were pretty fucking spectacular.

when the sky changes color are my favorite parts of the day. sunday night i left a party early because i was really tired, and i got to walk through madison square park (across the street from my bus stop) at twilight - which i never get to do, because i'm always out until after dark. the sky was a soft purple and the lamps in the park were lit up. the fountain was full of water, and the lights danced on the surface. it was a lovely end to a long day. dawns are pretty nice too.

i like the one bird that starts singing at like 3 in the morning, way before it's supposed to. it'll be the only one. i think it's really confused. :(

i've seen a fair number of these mornings, mostly coming down off hallucinogens that keep you up all night. pretty nice stuff. (also a great time to take pictures, the lighting is soft and wonderful)
