I can't believe this but I can understand Ging completely here. No; Haibene Renmei is a very specific sort of recharge, about redemption, and Honey and Clover is much more general and energetic.

However, and I confess this now, my most common self-reflection re-energizing funny girlish anime is Azumanga Daioh. I doubt most of you can understand how much that show means to me. Anyway, Ging, I know where you're coming from here. Honey and Clover is really wonderful. It can revitalize you if you're in that proper mindset, so don't worry about what it "says" about you. Go for it.

Huh. I've never seen Kiki's.

Oddly. I've been wanting to rewatch Paranoia Agent for months and months, but I know exactly what happens so I've been restraining myself.

There so much else that I feel could do more for me. Patlabor, Ghost in the Shell, Genshiken, Azumanga, some Bleach episodes, Last Exile before it turned messy, Kino's Journey, oh, I don't know. Often times, the idea of anime is more powerful than anime itself. It's really a wonderful format. I'm so disappointed that even after its American popularity we still have no true analogue.
