I had some Cold Stone once. Nothing special or remarkable, but then again, I guess I didn't go wild with toppings or anything.

It shut down recently, though (my friend had a stack of coupons that I guess are wasted now). Another friend of mine claims the location has a pretty bad rep, and that some guy killed every person in the store when it used to be another ice cream joint.

For the most part, though, I stick to Amy's Ice Cream. They're dotted all over Austin, and aren't too bad (though you pay a fair deal for it; student discounts help a bit).

I don't know, though. It's all too sweet for me. Most places ignore my request for a small ice cream (oops lol sorry dude that'll be $6), and finishing it off makes me really sick. I know there's an obvious solution to that problem, but I hate to just throw it out.

I'll give this to Cold Stone, though; they've got some slick ads on TV.
