Thread about road trips

I'm going on a road trip out west with some friends tomorrow morning.

We're renting a car, and it's going to be some bad ass shit. We'll be spending a lot of time in Colorado, but we'll be going to Nevada and California as well.

We're mainly doing outdoorsy stuff.

Anyway, any of you ever embarked on a big road trip before? Regale us with stories of you doing so. How was the experience? Did you get sick of your friends?

done a couple of these actually. went from here to fort wayne indiana with a kid from atlanta to meet some internet friends and go bowling and shit. wasn't really that great of a time, but i was young and didn't know a thing about a thing.

later on, i went from alabama to cimarron, new mexico with my boy scout troop. took two weeks and we stopped and saw a lot of stuff along the way. was super fun. lots of camping and such.

I wish my friends would road trip from washington up to alaska--so that I could road trip back with them :(
