Bumping to say that 300 Italian kids (mid-teenagers) arrived here a few days ago and have been doing all the usual horrible Italian things such as being rude, shouting loudly and standing around smoking in large groups. Breakfast this morning was unpleasant.

I lived in Turin for a few months.

FACT.

Good for you. I spent 3 weeks in Italy a few summers ago. It was during that terrible heatwave when all of continental Europe was ablaze. Spent some time in Tuscany and Elba, both of which were on fire. Also stayed in Venice, Rome, Milan, San Marino and...I forget where else.

But basically, fuck Italy and double fuck Italians.

Where do you live today?

At this very moment? Belfast. But I'm not from here! Northern Ireland is pretty much up there with Italy in the list of worst places I've been to. I've suffered sectarian abuse, been kicked out of two bars and almost been in a few fights. Hilarious!

Hang on...

You're bitching about Italy and you live in fucking Belfast?

Jesus christ...

I am also bitching about Belfast, if you hadn't noticed. I am only here for work, which is where I spend at least 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Still better than Italy.

See, I've been to Dublin, and I thought Dublin was a complete whole.

Maybe Im just spoilt because I grew up in Surrey?

What the fuck.

Also, you're basing your opinion of Belfast on Dublin? That's like saying "Glasgow sucks, I know because I was in London one time." Besides, Dublin is really good.

No, I've been to both.

Played Rugby for London Irish at U21 level, so did a lot of touring of the Irish cities.

Dublin's city centre is pretty nice...but the actual place...eugh!

I dunno, I grew up in Sandyford (south county Dublin) and I genuinely think it's one of the nicest parts of the world.

So!

It just seemed so desolate, and ugly.

Ireland itself is beautiful, but the city just seemed wrong.

Like a bombsite almost.

Google, I thought you were from California!

Thats just where I keep some of my key offices.

I was actually born in Hanover, Germany. I then moved to Turin at the age of 6 months, and wound up in Guildford, England, when I was about 18 months old.

Welcome to my life.
