Chris Benoit is probably my favorite wrestler of all time, but if true I hope there is a special place in hell for him.

All the details so far are this.

The police/investigators at a press conference Monday evening said that it was a double murder/suicide, with Chris benoit killing his wife and child over the weekend and himself on Monday morning. Autopsy takes place Tuesday morning. Police found the "instruments of death" on site, but won't say what they are. They confirmed that it wasn't a shooting or a stabbing.

The chilling part is that the early timeline is that he killed his wife on Saturday, killed his 7 year old son on Sunday, and himself on Monday. If true, it takes a remarkably evil man to sit around for a period of time after killing his wife when he almost certainly had to debate killing his son, which he eventually does.

He missed a ppv Sunday night where he was gonna win a third tier world title (don't ask), which was odd giving that he doesn't miss events ever (18+ years as a wrestler). The company on air said it was for personal reasons, but it is seeming that this was a cover as they just couldn't quite reach him. Apparently this would only be half true as a number of... odd messges he sent his friends in the company Sunday bothered them enough to get a WWE vice president of something to call the police near Benoit house to do a check-up on him, which they did the next day.

That's pretty much it for now. Fucked up story.

You know, seeing as how he tied his wife down by her wrists and legs before strangling her, waited a bit, killed his son in his sleep (hopefully), was injecting the 7 year old kid with presumably growth hormone because he wasn't big enough (which was the main criticism of Benoit throughout his career), had a restraining order brought aginst him by his eventual victim a few years earlier, whom he started dating while she was married to another man, on top of all the steroid/pill abuse and being a wrestler on top of all that...

This does not look like it was an out of the blue occurence (I was gonna say isolated, but yeah), it just looks like he was simply a terrible human being who did something terrible. I stand by my thought that if there is a hell, very few people out there deserve to burn there more than him. In a world of grays, this is about as close to outright black as you are going to get short of your Hitler's and whatnot.

I guess one could argue that anyone who kills is somewhat disturbed and deserving of our passion. I disagree.

Ummm, I've never seen Benoit inject steroids or seen his blood tests... but it's pretty damn obvious he has been juicing for a long time, most likely since 1992 or so back when he was in New Japan Pro Wrestling and WWF/WCW wasn't even on his radar screen. I assume a pretty accurate "start date" will come out eventually as it did a week or so after Eddie died, but you'd almost have to be burying your head in the sand to not see that he's been on something for at least a decade now.

Also, may I ask what is creepy about that previous pic as that pretty much just looks like a normal pic of the man.
