Yeah, I am kinda with Endless on this. Regardless of who Benoit was, usually when a person does this it isn't out of being "evil" but more usually out of being insane for some reason or another. Actually, calling someone evil seems like something people should probably try to avoid, as it brings up whole questions of good and evil that I don't really feel like getting into.

It's a pretty macho thing to do; the kind of thing you might expect from... oh, a wrestler. And it's not really that uncommon, as terrifying as that might sound.

There are basically two ways it goes: either the man gets himself into shit he feels he can't get himself out of (usually financial) and feels that without him around his family would suffer, so he offs everyone at a go out of some stupid fucking ego/pride thing, or you get a situation where the man accidentally kills his wife, say, then says "oh shit, my life is over". Then see above.

In this case, the latter instance sounds kind of likely. Argues with wife, accidentally kills her, then goes kind of nuts. He has no way out of this that he can see, and hey, maybe he really loved her. He can't see any future for the kid without either of them, so after spending a day to work up the courage he kills the kid, then after another day he offs himself. He probably saw it as mercy or something.

Again, this stuff happens all the time. This time it just happened to be a minor celebrity I've never heard of. Knowing nothing at all about him other than his profession, I'm really not that surprised.
