Guys,
I have a problem.
I cannot get enough of those "decorate your home" shows on the TV.
I do not own a house.
I cant fucking stand painting or DIY.
Yet I will watch programmes on how to sell your house for hours upon hours.
Does anyone else have this problem? _________________

My Mom had or may still have this problem. That channel would always be on when I was living at home. She'd say "It'd be nice to do something like that...wouldn't it?" while watching it. Then she'd go take a nap. _________________ Get Wild and Tough! |

| Weather Channel and TBS. TBS seems to have become a sitcom channel, so I can look up every half-hour and see a random joke that may or may not be amusing. And the weather channel is just- I don't know. I can just sit there are watch it for hours. The "local weather" music is pretty awesome, though. Anyone know how I can find the soundtrack? |

When I read this thread I thought HGTV stood for Hard Gay TV. _________________ Guayaba 2600 |

I have honestly not been able to sit down and watch anything at length on TV anymore... I don't know why. I can watch movies, or maybe a PBS special, but beyond that I have no interest in anything that's on TV anymore. Granted, I don't have cable, but even if I did, I'd never watch it. There's basically Adult Swim and The Daily Show and beyond that, it's mostly just an abyss of uninteresting, unoriginal crap. That's assuming you have cable; that'd be all I watch with any regularity.
Personally, I'd prefer to read a book or listen to music. I find myself doing that more and more these days. Playing videogames is another good way to waste some time, though it's harder these days to find good games.
Edit: Also, Hard Gay is only funny in very very very small doses. _________________

Except that The Daily Show is also an abyss of uninteresting, unoriginal crap.

Wait, so you're saying that The Daily Show is more uninteresting and unoriginal than Adult Swim? What in the flippity ding dong hell?
I'm not condemning all of Adult Swim, but some of the shows are essentially designed around the concept of 'what is the least amount of work we can do and still get people to watch?'
Though I'm with you on the Colbert Report being more awesome than the show that gave birth to it. |

No, I just don't watch Adult Swim and so can't comment on it. What I've seen via fleeting YouTube videos has been unimpressive. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |

Adult Swim is pretty annoying. I like to think I can handle excessive "randomness" in my young and hip TV programming but Adult Swim goes too far. What ever a piano out in the desert with kids around it has to do with Adult Swim is beyond me. Their whole block of programming is one big prank played on a stoned, unsuspecting audience.
In short, Adult Swim is mocking each and every one of us who watch it five nights a week. Doesn't that seem more than a little ridiculous to anyone else? _________________ Get Wild and Tough! |

I think the only good new show Adult Swim has run in ages is Saul of the Mole Men.
I'm probably alone in this.
Oh, wait, there's still new episodes of Moral Orel. Those usually work alright, even though the show's a bit of a one-trick pony. _________________

It's better than when Cartoon Network was Hannah Barbara Hour Every Hour.

If I am in a room with a television, chances are that the Discovery Science channel is on. Either that, QVC, or Bravo if it's a weekday afternoon, because that's when they show re-runs of Star Trek. Other than that, I don't watch television. I watch television programs, but I download them, rather than watch them when they air. I find commercials to be unbearably annoying and, quite honestly, most of them make me uncomfortable.
Edit: Actually, I do sometimes watch television programs when they air. I watch CSI and Numb3rs with my mother when they're new. But I mostly do that because she seems to enjoy it. |

There are a few amazing shows on TV, my brothers:
Venture Brothers (I'm no Adult Swim fan either, but this shit can't be passed up).
Colbert Report.
The John Oliver segments of The Daily Show.
Battlestar Galactica.
The Wire.
The Office.
South Park.
Futurama is coming back!
I've heard good things about Entourage and Big Love, too. |

Me too bro. My cable is gone and Colbert is the only casualty.
Here is every modern Daily Show joke. Ready? "This thing happened in the news today. Isn't that DUMB? I mean, that's just so dumb. Sooooo dumb. I can't even tell you how dumb that is." As a comedian it's your job to tell me how dumb that is, motherfucker, now dance for me sad clown. _________________ Let's Play, starring me. |
