My weather widget is pretty dependably in the 'We Kill Old People' range these days. 115f/46c in the shade, 3% humidity.

I honestly love the desert... As long as I get to come inside to 82'ish degrees, anyway.

1:15 in the AM and it's 94/34 degrees outside.

108, what's your take on this stuff?

Hot as in spicy or hot as in temperature? Hell, I guess I assumed it was to be drunk cold, which, in heartfelt retrospect, is a stupid idea.

Anyway, the desert has been grand. They did a temperature test on the Vegas strip yesterday -- couple-few hours before a random shooting in New York New York -- and with all the black asphalt and solar gain, the actual heat was around 130 degrees.

Indoors it's still more comfortable out here than it was in "The O.C.": As a lot of people I know have been lamenting about their own hometowns lately, it's one of those regions which is just temperate enough that not every home has climate control.

Hm.

I wonder what would make the desert heat good for the skin. A little bit of ozone to eat away at the surface layer, perhaps?
