Maybe next year when it's on a Thursday it can be stretched to a 4 day weekend, but yeah. Wednesday is a really terrible day for a holiday.
If people would stop calling that day the 4th of July and just dub it Independence Day so we could just celebrate them on Mondays or Fridays that would make more sense. I would actually be able to have a day off (or call in "sick") for starters.
Christmas is on a Tuesday this year. Blech! |

Have the 4th of July Independance day, but make the Monday/Friday the fucking holiday!
