The plan is to just pass it along as needed, right? I may need it sometime in the future. Long as no one goes cheap and breaks the chain to avoid paying postage, this could be quite the public service.

PS: The PS3 emulates PS1 games too, right? So it'll load PS1 saves from its HDD as well?

Yeah, EB games should rent these out for like $2 a day. I mean, hell, outside of the one-off use there's not much need for these. You can't transfer data off your PS3 onto a PS2 memory card (last I heard, correct me if wrong). EB/GS would make a killing with these being rentals. Or Blockbuster or something.
