Hey, I've been meaning to post in this thread. Don't live near here at all, but, have you checked out JamBase? Despite the name, they pretty much have listings for everything playing anywhere, ever. And the searches/criteria for dates and such is pretty flexible. It's nice, I've used it on multiple occasions. Just vanilla, though. I'm pretty sure if you sign up you can like WISHLIST shows and shit. _________________ metafilter vs. youtube comments |

have you ever been to the bottom of hte hill or great american music hall? its not a stadium, but shows usually dont sell out
and its all standing space if i remember correctly
or maybe theres seats against the wall. i havent been there in a really long time |
There's usually some tables/chairs on the fringes of both venues and The Great American has a sitting-only balcony that only seems to be open for some shows. I think when there's larger/more obnoxious acts playing they might vacate the tables and chairs.
ETA: Based on a single band search, I am going to declare SonicLiving superior to Jambase. (Also SL is run by a friend of mine, so there's that.) |
