Made a new gmail account. Doubt that I'll be getting around to clearing the 2.6 gigs of stuff from numberic any time soon, so let's just dig another hole in the fabric of the internets.
Thanks, tb. If I had a crack squad of silver-clad Rock and Roll ninja, I would send them to your place of dwelling to perform face-melting rock ballads until sunrise. _________________

Such a great song. I keep it in my shitty cheap MP3 player to play while I'm doing the dishes or whatever. _________________

Whole albums, yes. In fact, we will just re-send the old albums from the first numberic.
(I can't bring myself to delete those Sambo Master albums, even though I haven't listened to them and very well might never listen to them.) _________________

Look to see who's in the address line. If It's numberic, then everyone gets it; if it's just that specific poster's address, then only he or she should get it. _________________

Hoo. Like one day and it's already 12% full. I'll try to be more on top of this one than the last one. _________________

And funky raga and the most demented hypnotic induction that I've yet heard.
I once considered creating a screwed up hypnotic relaxation induction.

It's, hm. Interesting. Like, I don't mean this to insult musical tastes, but it seems like a lot of the songs are gimmick choices. A lot, but definitely not all! Hopping through Zombie Nation, Ęsop Rock, John Fahey, Boris... Yeah, there's definitely good stuff for me here.
I'm hesitating to upload stuff because we're still in that "woah shit too many woah woah slow down" phase. _________________

I still love that tabla track that you sent, daphny.
It seems like we're collectively figuring out how to 'do it right'. Maybe songs that are GOOD to us will just seem interesting to other people, while songs that are only interesting to us will seem gimmicky to other people? Like, just assume that whatever you send is gonna be kicked down one notch automatically.
Oh, Bluuuuuebelly: I do like the Albanian tracks, but (omg) they are so low-fi that I have a hard time listening to them. Much like that fucking awesome Syrian song that Rabite sent. It might just be my personal rig, but the tinny treble and compressed loudness hurt like a clusterfucking bastard. I still appreciate the inclusion of worldly and expressive stuff, though, so I'm kinda torn about quality of captured music vs. quality of reproduced music. _________________

Interesting. Reminds me of something: I found this web page that took really old wax cylinder recordings and tried to 'fix' them digitally. Get rid of the noise and shit. They had samples of a bunch of different techniques, some of them working in three dimensions (who knows how).
All of them sounded like garbage compared to the originals. The digital correction just ripped all of the expression out of the performance. Sure, sure, the clicks went away, and the hissing wasn't as noticeable, but the actual music didn't sound 'real' anymore. _________________

Ugh. Yeah, I kinda wondered what would happen if people flagged numberic as spam. _________________
