So, from the 8th of august until the 16th I'll be in Berlin with my g/f.

Any tips on places to see, etc.? Even geeky stuff, since that's basically what we are.

There's lots of obvious stuff to see in berlin that shouldn't be hard to find out about online.

For especially geeky stuff, visit the Technikmuseum.

If you like art, strange (comic) books and music, visit Galerie Neurotitan http://www.neurotitan.de/ while you're at Hackesche Höfe (kinda mandatory sight for tourists, http://www.berlin.de/tourismus/sehenswuerdigkeiten.en/28950.html)

If its site were still working for me (which right now it isn't), I would tell you to go see if you can get tickets to Belle Et Fou. It's a cabaret musical show of sorts with lots of naked girlies dancing to a funky jazzy soundtrack accompanied by a four star cuisine. The set looks gorgeous too (images below), It's something I know I'd want to go do, but that depends on what you're looking to do.

Go to nice places, touristy places. Obviously go visit the Kudamm (I think it's Kuwuerestendamm), and the KaDeWe and shit.
Go visit the Brandenburger Tor, Unter Den Linden and the Bundestag/Reichstag.
Go to the East, and see the Palace of the Old Republic before they tear it down (if they haven't already).
Go see some classical concerts or whatever, they have nice stuff playing pretty often.
Go see a couple of Bundesliga games if they've started up yet. They might have, since England has, although probably not.

I really, really liked Berlin when I went there. I wish I could remember some of the other places I went.

www.berlin.de has it all.

The Pergamon museum is nice too.

Whenever I'm in Berlin I like to just wander around, smell some concrete, marvel at pre-ww2 architecture and discover all the little details that give the city its identity.

Oh, and it's called Kurfürstendamm, not Kuwuerestendamm ;)
