Um, so, like.

Yeah, I don't know what's going on in my life at this point. I won't have a job anymore, but I may (may!) be moving right around this time. I may not.

I would really like to go. My wife will have a new job right around this time, so we still don't know what kind of time she will be able to get off work (she's a nurse, so it's not like shit will be closed at a hospital).

So, let me get back to everyone. I told daphny last night that I would do my best to come after flaking out. If I did come my wife would probably be in tow.

In the event that I can get there, is there a chance that one of the participants would be willing to give me a livecarving or would that be too time intensive?

I ws thinking about skin art not of the tattoo variety. Scarification, the sort where a pattern is cut into the flesh and ashes are rubbed into the wound. And I figured something like this event would be a good place time since people there may be the sort to do that sort of thing, and because I wanted something videogame related done.

Guardian: assuming I can come, is the federal district of Washington "out of the way"? It would be great to carpool. I'm in school again so I'll have a long break...

I don't really see anyone being at this thing that will be able to help you with that sort of adventure, man. There's a ton of tatoo parlors around Louisville where you might be able to run around and ask about that kind of thing but that's not really knowledge kept in my book per se.

I realized just yesterday that my apartment lease ends on JANUARY 25th, not December 25th, so I don't have to move until JANUARY, so yeah, I guess I'll be there.

I like Vox amps!! I'm not expecting a Fender Twin Reverb or anything. Just a little Vox is nice!

Joe can I come like . . . . . . three days early or so?

There are a couple of Salvation Armies in Louisville, yeah????????

Do you have Qdoba / Chipotle as well?

A Guitar Center?

I can see about borrowing my dad's amp. It's pretty decent.

Speaking for myself, you're welcome to come as early and stay as late as you want or need to.

Quote:

Yeah, a couple. If it's clothes and such, I know a few other consignment shops that are pretty cool too.

Quote:

Yep, and quite a few other veggie friendly places too!

Dude, I would hope Louisville has Chipotles. I mean, shit has spread like a fucking virus of burritos. so yes!

I'm still in the unclear about when I will be coming down for this, as my job situation is still up in the air. I will be rocking it though, so yeah!

we have chipotle? i never go there. if we want mexican we'll eat at fucking el nopal by god 108 it's better than la charreda

as for food of any variety, louisville is very much a restaurant city. you can get anything and everything you want, for surprisingly reasonable prices. and yes you can get pho >:||

Well, I don't know if Tim will be down with this. A lot of traditional Mexican food uses lard and such even in dishes without meat. So yeah, depends on how strict Tim is about things.

But! El Nopal is good food.

I need to explore more mexican places in Cleveland, actually.

chipotle has a good veggie burrito (bowl) from what I understand. Not a bad place to eat, I suppose.

Joe I will probably be at this! Put me down for half a question mark.

um that is going to be a bit rough on your time and budget. see when i worked at OSU, all we ate almost everyday was chipotle. well, that or subs. so yeah, i have a high tolerance for the stuff. And, you know, I like it. Of course there are quite a few decent mexican places around here, but I don't consider chipotle mexican.

Chipotle was the best Mexican food I could find in Seattle. I might even eat it occasionally now if it wasn't twice as expensive as real Mexican food.
