With the new boards come new life! That is, a new thread for the now-dubbed SB:TO crew. Here we will make plans, organize meet-ups, and whisper sweet nothings.

He does, Persona. Though it may not know about this chapter's resurgence!

Yes, folks, we need to play soon and soon. I know the holidays are upon us, but seeing as I'm a dirty pagan, I don't have any plans and this year I'm sticking close to home. Let's do what Ed says: let's get some Wii action going.

But HOLY FUCK there's a maid café in Toronto!? Well, Scarborough. If anyone can offer a car, that would make things easier, but either way I'm game to go! I think Nancy would want to come, though! :-p

Whose turn is it to host, if we bring Wiis?

EDIT: Oh my fuck, check out the "Our Staff" page on that maid café site and roll over the image of the man on the left.

Aerisdead, why must you insult us and yet hold us dear at the same time!?

I'd think that Pacific Mall would be a good bet. There's a guy who runs a messy electronics store there, just to the right of the centre of the mall, on the ground floor (near the escalators); he looks like a Chinese Mr. Bean, and he fixed my PS1 lazors back in the day. There are a few people in Chinatown Centre you could ask, too.

I have not given up on the charity, but it'll have to wait until next year. I'm trying to reboot my career right now.

I know it's the holidays, but I'm not visiting family this year, which means I'll be in TO the entire time. I'm off from the 22nd to the 2nd, and I'll have some time to meet, if anyone wants to. What's everyone's schedule like during the holiday?

I bought Nancy Cooking Mama in hopes that she'll, you know, cook me something. Maybe something as cool as that cake?

Happy belated birthday, you internet ninja you!

Well, are you still open to having us over, Ed?

P.S. I'm going to the maid café on Sunday with my wife... (O.o)

Ed! I'm sorry to do this, but a family thing has come up and I can't commit to Friday. I'm really sorry to bail out after saying I'd be there, but I hope you'll understand.

Sorry, Ed, I didn't see your post!

Happy New Year's everyone! We watched the countdown at city hall on CityTV while, you know, it was happening five minutes away. We got to at least see the glow of the fireworks off the buildings nearby!

Okay! You beat me to it. Thursday the 22nd works perfectly fine for me. Are we meeting at someone's place or hitting an arcade or something?

Soooo... is it just you and I, Aerisdead? I could bring some sock puppets to represent everyone else, I suppose. You know, pretend it's a party.

Well, okay, options:

1) Meet somewhere, like the shitty arcade on Yonge, and whatnot
2) Head to someone's place
3) Get piss-drunk in an alley and rough up some cops

I'd be happy to have you guys over tomorrow if you don't want to meet outside somewhere. A lot warmer at my place, and I'm pretty well set-up already (Wii, 360, PS2, Super Famicom, DS, etc.). Just bring controllers and games, and we can hang out.

What do you think?

I have a GH guitar and a copy of GH2, so bring #1 and another guitar if you like.

As for Konami... uh, I have lots of Silent Hill, and some MGS and Castlevania. I only have the Contra demo, but I guess we could play that? Oh! My PSX-based NES emulator might have some classic Contra on it. We could play that two-player for sure, if it's on there. Oh and I do have some DDR! (I think I only have one pad right now, though.)

We'll need to take photos/video for FKW! I can only take photos, so if you have a video-enabled camera, please bring it!

Do you remember how to get to my place? Do you have any Super Famicom games? If you have any GameCube stuff that would be appropriate, we could play that on the Wii.

What say you, Aerisdead? Think Konami!

Ooooookay, I'm getting confused here. Let's just stick with the 22nd, then. Colour_Thief, I'll PM you directions before then.

EDIT: I'm home because I didn't feel well (don't worry, it's nothing contagious). Thus, I am somewhat bored. If anyone still wants to pop by today, that's fine by me. Just give me a call/send me an email and let me know.

I thought we were doing this at my place? I will correct that; we are doing this at my place. The 22nd. Like, commit, people; I have better things to do than to wait around for people to make up their minds. I will restate: I have GH2 and a guitar, so we only need one more guitar for mutiplay, and a copy of GH1 would be nice.

We will play Wii as well. (We'll have to make a Colour_Thief Mii if he doesn't already have one.) If anyone has a second Classic Controller, bring that too. Bring booze too, if you want it (I do!).

Don't forget, C_T, I have that copy of Ibara that you're welcome to jam on. It would be interesting to see that crack-addled puzzle-and-shooter brain of yours go to work.

ROCKING and ROLLING guys. This sounds like it will be fun. I don't know what kind of more-than-two-player Xbox 360 games I have (Doom? Halo 2?) but if you want to bring any 360 pads over, Aerisdead, that would be cool. I have two of my own.

Guinness is good! I will provide something else as well for a little variety. Maybe with the promise of booze, we can convince Equalix to come.

Yes, tonight! I've PMed you directions, Colour_Thief. I assume you remember where to find me, Aerisdead, but if not, let me know.

All y'all are welcome at 6:00pm. I don't really care how late you stay, as long as I get some semblance of sleep (it's Friday tomorrow anyway, fuck it).

Watching Iron Chef on YouTube ITT.

Aerisdead: I love that image; the art is so nice.

Colour_Thief: wow. I would love to watch you finish the whole game. I don't know if I'd really be able to play the whole thing myself. The quote after the clear screen in this video is priceless, though.
