FUCK. FUCK. FUCK.

Unreal. And his 5-year old son as well. And its coming up to the 2 year anniversary of Richard Burns death from a brain tumor as well.

Can this year get any worse? Its always either death or scandal now.

DiRT was a McRae game, no?

It's a real shame. This can be his tribute.

DiRT was the last game to have the McRae name(In Europe at least). It wasnt as prominent as before and Codemasters were lining up Travis Pastrana as the newer cover name as McRae was starting to take a more behind the scenes role in Rally also. McRae was only doing the X-Games events and some exhibitions.

I was about to post that clip also, but its a perfect indicator of how great a driver McRae was, that he could simply recover from an accident so quick and without hesitation and still claim second place at his age. He probably would have done it again this year if it wasnt for the plastic barrier his car got caught on.

What a sad day ... not only for us racing-enthusiasts, I have to point out. He was one of the greatest racing drivers you could imagine, doing well in Le Mans, WRC and Dakar, something that, say, Michael Schumacher can't proove up till now - being able to drive one kind of racecar fast is impressive, doing so with whatever you get hold of is another thing.

You can see how great a driver he was in that tribute-like video ... such car control when driving right at the edge of what can be done - that's what made us, and me, enjoy every time we saw him.

It's a shame I never saw him racing live. Damn...

Robert Jordan died yesterday before he could finish the Wheel of Time.

Bad times were had by all.

I always managed to watch WRC when I found it somewhere while channel surfing. Its the only type of racing event I can say that for. I can thank watching Colin race for that.
